I have stayed at the Living Hotel several times and can highly recommend it. The location is absolutely great. There is a small supermarket in the immediate vicinity on the other side of the street. The restaurants and stores in Guiones Norte are in the immediate vicinity and within walking distance. The beach is also only a few minutes' walk away - this is especially great early in the morning to start the day on the beach. The hotel has a pool and very beautiful surroundings with lots of plants and animals. The monkeys and squirrels can be observed directly and daily. :-) The accommodation offers small bungalow-like rooms that provide everything you need for an uncomplicated stay. The hotel itself is not huge and the rooms offer a nice privacy. Alejandro, who is always on site, is very helpful and nice. Even as a solo traveler, I always feel safe and comfortable in the friendly Living Hotel. Many thanks & Pura Vida!

Clean and comfortable stay in town. Beautiful, elegant and simple decor. Smoothies and bowls are delicious and the pool area is nice and quiet. Alejandro was helpful on many fronts. It's a quiet place even though its in town. Recommendation: There's a jungle walk to the beach, behind the hotel that we only discovered a couple days in -- it avoids the dusty, trafficy street and construction zones.

Spent one week in Living Hotel during my surfing trip. Central location in Guiones, but still quiet because the whole village goes to sleep after 9 pm, which I loved. Early morning wake up calls by howler monkeys like in every hotel in that area, making nice feeling of living in the middle of jungle. Room and surroundings were clean but needed some face lift. But didn’t bother me. Bikes available for getting around in the area. Delicious smoothies and fruit bowls available in the hotel bar.

Living Hotel was fantastic! Actually went back a month later and had just as good time the second time. Rooms were super comfortable and clean, and maid service was prompt and thorough. Yoga on site was a plus combined with the great smoothie shack combined for great amenities. Although located right in the middle of town, when you are back in the pool area, it feels like an oasis. I will be going back soon and am really looking forward to it. Reasonable, super friendly staff, parking and location combine to make this one of the best hotels in Nosara!

Loved hanging here to relax after a long day of surfing and exploring the area. Great walking distance to everything you need. Restaurants and convenience store's less than a block away and the beach is an easy 5-10min walk. The hotel is super quaint, quiet, and relaxing. Tons of foliage around. Loved the giant community structure that stretches high in the air. And the service is wonderful. They're so welcoming and will make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable and happy. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Living Hotel. We were traveling with teenagers and friends and this was a great location for walking everywhere. The staff is friendly and it is kept very clean. We rented bamboo bicycles and enjoyed the pool and central kitchen area. We felt like our rooms were very safe and protected, there is a security guard in the evening. Alejandro coordinated our shuttle to and from the Liberia Airport as well as our COVID tests we needed to leave. Everything went very smoothly and we would love to visit again!

The location is #1, close to beach and restaurants. The staff were constantly cleaning and although the rooms are simple, you will find you spend very little time in it and more so outside where the grounds are beautifully landscaped and tropical. Unlike someone else's review, I found my bed really comfortable and the sheets super soft and the towels nice and white. Alejandro was so helpful with booking tours and getting cab rides for me. If you take a kayak or waterfall tour, make sure you ask for Miguel because he was an incredible tour guide! Don't forget to eat at Destiny's or La Luna, both amazing. Bring crocs or flipflops as the roads are often messy after rain. Thank you for the wonderful vacation Alejandro and staff. Hope to return.
