Wall Hill Farm

For the price the guest house is very dated and in need of a overhaul. Carpets and fabric furniture needs a good clean. Bedding was nice and clean as were towels. Overall the rooms and bathrooms were clean. Not really an enthralling stay have stayed in much better rooms for cheaper. We were however looking forward to the cooked breakfast this morning as this had so many good reviews but this was also disappointing unfortunately. Richard and his staff were very nice and attentive but for the price I wouldn't stay here again sorry.

Arriving at Wall Hill Farm was a lovely experience. Richard, the host, had sent all the information in advance. This meant we knew where to get our keys and how everything would work. He also checked what time we'd like breakfast the following day. The room itself was spacious and tastefully decorated. The Oriental room was inspired by fabrics and designs informed by a western take on far eastern styles. It was clean, well laid out and comfortable. After a great sleep, breakfast was another pleasure. Richard greeted us warmly, and asked if we'd like juice, hot drinks and what we'd like to eat. It was a shame that the place wasn't busier, and we appeared to be the only guests, but that meant our full English was cooked to order there and then. Special complements to the excellent big quality bacon, sausages, black pudding and Richard's home made bread for toast. It was all a delight. Overall, one of the best value stays we've had in a long time, and in a great location with easy access to Cheshire and north Wales. Thank you!

Lovely family run B&B out in the country located near the train station & a few pubs & restaurants (definitely recommend The Leigh Arms) which was ideal for me. My room was amazing with exquisite decor. It was very comfortable for my two night stay. Breakfast was good too so no complaints from me.

Superior room turned out to be ripped towels, musty smelling room which hit you as soon as you entered. duvet in very poor condition, holes in duvet cover, dated information booklet with closed down pubs years ago, rusty door stops . Needs money spending on it to bring it to 2024. Not luxury!

My grandson and I travel to this area each December for his birthday treat and to a Christmas event qnd we've stayed at different hotels over the past 4 years. However, this hotel has by far exceeded all the others in all areas! My 8 year old grandson said "I give it 10 pikachu's out of 10" This is one hotel that we would absolutely return to, which is a massive statement as we usually like to explore different hotels! We stayed in the Africa room (room 7) which was stunning, clean, comfortable, unique and the breakfast was outstanding!

Very welcoming host, great lounge for guests to relax with games, cards etc. Lovely en suite bathroom with a huge shower, stunning views. Excellent breakfast. Lovely comfy bed, what’s not to like about Wall Hill Farm!
