Hotel Baia di Nora

Old-fashioned rooms, from the 70s, degrading breakfast, from what little it has, is insufficient for the number of guests, at 9am it no longer has anything. dinner is chosen by them, very poor quality food. the staff hardly speaks any language other than Italian.

My wife and I have returned to Roma after another magical two weeks at The Baia Di Nora. Booking process, rooms (very good cleaning service), beach (well run) restaurant (Outstanding service, excellent meals & wines and vegetarian friendly for my wife), American Bar (excellent service), entertainment all managed by professional excellent workers who really make it come together successfully in the great well tended setting of varied and beautiful nature. Our annual process begins with a query in January to GianMauro, an exceptional communicator and Baia Di Nora representative, concerning booking times and cost schedule. The results of these communications allow very good planning and coordination with the overall transportation plan. From there it is just counting the day until the magic begins. Stayed for one week half board basis. Short taxi transfer from airport. Was told at check in that pool area was closed for at least 2 days,(technical difficulties) nota good start. Main reason for a sun holiday is relaxing by pool as shown in all splendour on hotel website. Definitely would not have booked this hotel if had known this prior. Private beach was very nice. Staff were very friendly and efficient, especially in dining room. Breakfast was very good continental, excellent breads, cold cuts etc. loved double espresso in morning. Lunch is practically non existent, salads or sandwiches only available in bar.Oh for some grilled meat Ona barbecue. Dinner was very limited with only 2 choices for each course and not of a great standard. On the plus side I have never seen a more beautiful hotel garden/grounds. Lovely to stroll in. Superior rooms were spacious and very clean and private. Rooms cleaned and towel change every day.Pool area when it opened on3rd day was beautiful and well maintained by friendly lifeguard. I got the feeling that because it was the start of season not all hotel facilities were open. No music or entertainment in evenings bar very quiet, nothing on tv in bar only Italian music videos. Asked if we could watch Eurovision Song Contest to liven up the atmosphere (computer says no!). Anyway if you are looking for a very quiet break away in beautiful surroundings this is the place.
