My mother stayed here to rehabilitate after a challenging recovery from whipple surgery. I live in the U.S. and was only familiar with the Kim through my father's rehab after knee surgery and last year an almost fatal aneurism. One night my mother fell and laid on the floor for 3 hours, unable to reach anyone. Apparently there is no night staff (to check, to assist etc.). As a result my father (87 years old) started sleeping next to her. One night he asked for assistance with moving my mom to the bathroom, because she was rapidly loosing her strength after that fall. My father was assisted the 1st time however, the 2nd time the employee told him it's not his job. My mom continued to decline and my father tried to have her moved out of there asap.Meanwhile my mother continued to decline rapidly, however nobody at the Kim (nobody!) alerted her GP or anyone. My mom was transported in a wheelchair taxi and again, someone, anyone at the Kim should have interjected to arrange an ambulance instead. A day and a half after my mom's return from the Kim she went into a coma and then passed away. There appears to be a profound lack of involvement and advocacy on the patient's behalf. Shameful.
