"A friend recommended this hotel. While the room was okay, the soundproofing was terrible!! Absolutely terrible! There was a mahjong room upstairs, or maybe the hotel itself was being used for gambling. Late at night, a group of people were shouting and laughing incredibly loudly, making it impossible to sleep. I called the front desk to complain, and they said they would go up and talk to them, but that had no effect. Around 2 AM, the shouting started again, along with the sounds of tables being pushed and bottles being smashed on the floor (this sound was extremely piercing at night). I couldn't sleep at all. I called the front desk again and requested a room change, but they said they would intervene again and would ask the upstairs guests to check out so they could stop playing. But that had no effect either. Around 3 AM, the noise was still going on, and there were intermittent sounds of things hitting the floor (I don't know if it was a bottle or mahjong tiles, but they were very heavy and loud). I couldn't sleep all night, and it only quieted down around 5 AM… If you're sensitive to noise, choose this hotel carefully! Choose this hotel carefully! Choose this hotel carefully!"
