Royal Hôtel

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Plenty of character, in an old building, with an attractive restaurant and breakfast room. Helpful, efficient staff on reception. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a double window overlooking an attractive square at the front of the hotel. It’s a popular place in the evenings, with lots of people enjoying meals, drinks and music. Breakfast is served on a tray and brought to your table in the breakfast room. I wasn’t a big fan of this and found it too repetitive by the fourth day. Definitely more choice with a buffet style option. The location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing and visiting all the main points of interest in the very attractive and peaceful town of Nîmes.

Quirky little hotel, great location. Bed was very comfortable, room was quiet, spacious bathroom, really nice shower, very clean and AC was great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was a little small and no elevator, but we had a very nice stay.

We reserved two nights at the Royal Hotel in Nimes, France. On the day we checked-in, they charged my credit card for the two nights lodging, but I was not made aware of this. When we checked out, we were given a receipt for the two nights lodging, plus parking fee and tax, which was charged to my credit card. It wasn't until I saw my credit card statement that I realized they double charged for the two nights lodging. I sent them a couple emails about the double charges, but never received a response. Fortunately, my credit card company refunded me the extra charges, and said they would deal with the hotel about the charges. I never heard more about it. The hotel is in a nice location for seeing the sights in Nimes, and the room was fine. Our room overlooked the outdoor restaurant in front of the hotel, but we did not have any noise issues at night. We did not eat there, because they did not offer gluten-free meals, but there were other restaurants in town that did. There is a public underground parking garage with an elevator that come up the street next to the hotel. Over-all, a good stay except for the double charges on the credit card.

Good hotel for our overnight visit to Nimes. On arrival the receptionist was really friendly, on check out the receptionist on duty was perhaps not so! Never the less, I loved the funkiness and arty vibe of this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and had all that you required for an overnight stay. The location was excellent!!!

A very disappointing hotel .Rooms very basic but clean Bathroom the smallest I have ever experienced or would want to again.We did not find the downstairs decor of the hotel very appealing so ate out for breakfast and other meals

I canceled one of our rooms at this hotel (on time within the contractual period) and the hotel refused to refund me the money I paid in advance (over $800). The room we used felt like a hostel, the wifi did not work.
