The difference couldn't be bigger with the night before at hotel Costmopolite and that for about the same price of 179€. We were allocated an apartment on the first floor. When we got off the elevator we looked at a badly damaged wall in the hallway. On arrival at the apartment, our door turned out not to be closed. And when testing our access badges, they turned out not to be configured for this room...so back to reception. Upon entering the apartment, it turned out that all smoke detectors were gone. Mandatory at home, but apparently not in a hotel? Fire safety? A chipboard rack that was supposed to serve as a wardrobe was half demolished and turned out to serve as a kind of separation from the neighboring neighbors. From our bedroom we could hear every word of our neighbors and enjoy their TV. The bedroom then... The bedroom was apparently just above the kitchen of the adjoining restaurant. Until 10.30 pm we could enjoy the sound of pots and pans that apparently flew in all directions. Because of the 'concrete hard' mattress, we could hardly sleep that night. A huge borehole marred the wall of the bedroom. Breakfast turned out to be more in a refectory, with a buffet as a grab bag. Far from a quiet and cozy breakfast. Is this a representation of our Belgian coast? Then I ignore our concrete coast and prefer a cheap flight to Barcelona, Valencia or Alicante, where I have a correct stay at a correct and lower price ... and more guarantee of good weather
