Our expectations were already low for this hotel given past reviews, but we thought how bad could it be. How wrong we were. My friend and I are regular travelers abroad (she travels almost every month, and I every 3-4 months). This was the worst hotel in terms of quality and customer service we have stayed in in all of France. We stayed 3 nights. Do NOT stay here, even if it costs more $ to go somewhere else. 1) The night shift receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional, 2) The room is dirty (fleas and potentially bed bugs, my friend and I both received multiple bites, absolutely disgusting), and 3) their sister hotel receptionist is ****** (said kinochiwa to us when we were simply walking on the street, minding our own business and definitely not Japanese). So unless you want to have your vacation severely disturbed, go somewhere else. (May I recommend the very nice Chateau we stayed in after in Cagnes sur Mer). There are so many bad parts of this hotel that I simply do not have enough characters for. - When we told the receptionist about our bug bites (day shift woman on 7/10), she only told us to checkout the pharmacy nearby. No apologies. - This hotel has an insanely small shower stall - Tiny elevator, can fit 2 people maximum shoulder to shoulder with 2 bags - Hotel receptionist (night shift on 7/8 and 7/9) was a strong contrast to the chief receptionist (7/8) who we had good interactions with. This night shift hotel receptionist was rude, even though he spent 45 minutes trying to get us to retract him saying he was rude. This was after we asked him for 2 towels. I won't go into every part of the excruciating 45 minutes, but he said "had we ever encountered rude people before? Because if we had, he would definitely not be considered rude." My friend and I thought this was ironic, and told him we definitely have experienced rudeness before, literally minutes before with konichiwa guy from the hotel a door down. That's when he started eagerly clutching at this story as a weapon against us, saying that must be the reason for us thinking he was rude. He said that if he saw this person himself, he will stand up for us and embarrass the guy for us. (as an aside, konichiwa guy walked into our hotel a couple minutes later to hang out, turns out they are friends! :) Receptionist did nothing, of course, surprise, surprise. There is no happy resolution to this story. The receptionist never apologized for his behavior. What pointless waste of time and money on our vacation.
