Muri Shores

Stayed in one of the back villas but was lucky enough to be upgraded to the beach front villas, but either are very nice to stay at with very easy beachfront access. Very nice view over Muri Beach and Muri central. Excellent communication from owner and onsite staff. Great place to stay at. Will be back again.

Muri Shores is absolute perfection. There is nothing more you could want or need when you stay here. 10m and you're in the pristine clear water of the lagoon. The villas are completely private and self contained with everything you could want and need. There is a gas cooktop, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster etc with a vast array of cutlery and crockery. There are ample towels for use and the shower is devine. It is hands down the best part of the lagoon, and only 200m from your room is the Muri night market (food stalls) that runs most nights. There is also a 24hr supermarket (Sells most beer/wine too if that matters), ATM, and takeaway/restaurants. Bus stop is at the top of the driveway to get you round the island. You honestly couldn't stay anywhere better. ❤️🙏

We stayed in a lagoon view villa and it was superb. Very spacious, stylish and modern with the most comfortable beds. The accommodation and grounds were meticulously clean. The staff were super friendly and the communication from management was top notch. The fully equipped kitchen had everything you could want and more. Discovering the blender was fantastic as we loved being able to make our very own Pina Colada's. The huge deck with sun loungers and table and chairs was fabulous. I loved that they also provided a clothes horse and pegs. The free wi-fi, the use of bikes and kayaks was a lovely bonus at this property. This is our third visit to Raro and we will most definitely stay at Muri Shore Villa's again. 100% recommend. Absolutely loved it and can not fault a thing!

A great place to stay. A supermarket, sailing club, LBT cafe, Tapas, all within walking distance. Night markets (food) directly behind. A bus stop out front. Two doors from Captain Tamas Lagoon Cruises. Step out of your hut onto the beach. Self-contained. I couldn’t fault it.

We have just been lucky enough to spend 7 nights at the Muri Shores Villas. There is only 6 villas so very peaceful. The villas are spacious and spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed and Free Wifi. Kayaks and bikes are available. It is very handy to the Muri night market and a few doors down from a 24 hour store. It is absolute beach front. It was an amazing holiday and we loved it so much we’ve rebooked for 2025 for a longer period.

My husband and I stayed at Muri Shores on our 7th visit to Rarotonga. We know what to expect from hospitality here and the team didn’t let us down. Our lagoon villa, one of two on poles behind the beachside villas, was equipped with everything we could need for a relaxed stay. We were a bit hesitant about the night market being a few metres behind the villa but closing the kitchen and bathroom doors blocked out any noise we may have heard. The bathroom is cool and clean, with complementary toiletries, plenty of face cloths and hand towels, a good strong hairdryer, and loads of hot water. The floor of the shower is pebbled and on the first day, we wore flip flops as we thought it might be too harsh to stand on. Just the opposite. It was like a mini foot massage each time we showered. There are extra towels in the wardrobe in the main room for both the bathroom and the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a plunger for the coffee we brought with us from New Zealand and a blender for our morning smoothies. There’s also a good sized freezer which was fabulous for our ice and smoothie berries. A small supply of kitchen paper towels, tin foil and food wrap were very handy. Along with the containers for left over food, etc. Muri Shores also provided sunscreen and insect repellant. The bedroom/living area if large and airy with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan for those super hot nights. We brought our own snorkel gear but there are plenty of hire places close at hand. We appreciated the use of the kayaks and paddled out most days. An added bonus was being able to stay past the usual checkout time as we were on the awful early morning flight home. Krystina and Edna were very obliging in this regard. Edna, the housekeeper, is just a phone call away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back again next year.
