Premier Inn Isle Of Wight (Newport)

This hotel is cheap and cheerful. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed to say the least. Basic air conditioning for the guest is not considered and the staff can have an update on customer service / greeting families. My 2yr old came down saying good morning and the staff did not acknowledge far more encourage her. Being polite doesn't cost a thing. Then the Beefeater, furniture needs deep cleaning, and flies are expected due to the location but it shouldn't be a battle when trying to eat. All over the coffee machine first thing on a morning. That was no no for breakfast for my family. Menu for the children don't encourage healthy eating. Maybe try having steamed vegetables on the dinner menu for kids. Basic Brocoli Carrots Green beans?

Clean, modern room - very comfortable bed (as expected) BUT this Premier Inn has no air conditioning so, despite the fan that was supplied (we had our own too) the room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable as a result! Not great considering we paid over £100 for just one night! The staff mentioned that they ask for air con to be installed every year, as it's so hot in there, to no avail. Come on, Premier Inn - get your act together!!

Friendly staff Room temp unbearable they gave us a fan but that was useless They should have told me the air con was not working before I arrive in the evening and I could have stayed somewhere else I hardly slept and to be honest if the ferry was running I would have left the island at 3am and gone home Apparently it be broken for a while

Room was constantly hot. I visited this Premier Inn a few years ago, and remembered no air conditioning at this hotel. Well, 5 years later and they still don’t have it. Even with a fan in the room, the room was very hot and, as the weather was very hot, the room temperature was quite uncomfortable. One big plus is the free car park. Also, just wanted to say that the lady on reception was very helpful.

We had a very nice stay here the staff are amazing only problem is there’s no air con there was a really good fan but it just blew out warm air there was no plug sockets beside the bed so we had to get trailing socket to reach the side of the bed as I have a sleep apnea machine I need to keep cool on a night as I suffer from CLL and you get night sweats otherwise so a little disappointing so we didn’t sleep well at all The food was very good in the beefeater breakfasts are lovely and you can pick and choose what you like

Having booked for 3 nights, we left after one due to problems elsewhere. While the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, the room itself was like an oven . The window was open but the fan provided was of little help. Given the prices charged, Premier Inn should make air conditioning standard in all rooms. The Premier Inn app is very misleading, two sets of prices but not showing what the extra charge is for. No issue with the staff at the hotel, but won't be rushing back.
