Just returned from a fabulous stay at this beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. Stayed in a lovely room (very warm on this occasion). Loved the decor and the stand alone bath. Fantastic views from every angle. Excellent food with equally excellent staff. All very helpful, friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Georgia who helped to rescue my earring. Will definitely be back.

All was perfect.. fabulous staff throughout,good food and a lovely room...very quiet too. I can't fault this lovely hotel,second stay and just fantastic through and through. We had a free upgrade to a deluxe room as the TV was faulty in ours...could not have asked for better.

We found the staff to be very well trained, both attentive but not invasive of our privacy. The beds were very comfortable and the linen fresh and of good quality. The evening meal was excellent, good choice, well cooked, and beautifully presented. Serving staff were very good, informative and approachable. Can’t fault any area of this hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Birthday treat for my elderly mum. We had never been before & I booked an overnight stay, a spring deal of B&B + 3 course dinner & a cream tea. Excellent value, nothing too much trouble & staff very polite, attentive & smartly dressed. Sat in the conservatory on arriving, overlooking the beautiful gardens. Entertained before dinner with escaped sheep in the grounds from a nearby farm! Food excellent both dinner & breakfast, good choice & cooked to order. Liked the staggered times for dining, seated @ 15min intervals which worked well. We stayed in room 5 (twin superior room), spotlessly clean. Beautiful bathroom with walk in shower & roll top bath & comfy beds. A very relaxing, luxurious break in a beautiful hotel & can highly recommend. I have booked again for later in the year so I think that says it all!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in May. We had a wonderful stay in this hidden gem of a hotel, on a dinner bed and breakfast rate. The main building itself is very impressive, in an excellent location only 10 minutes or so from Scarborough sea front. We were shown to our room in the carriage house. We stayed in room 36, it was wonderfully spacious, the decor was in keeping with the surroundings, and it was immaculate. There are plenty of places to sit for a drink or to read for example, and I don't think I sat in an uncomfortable chair for the duration of our stay! The terrace is lovely, with a small porch area that was nice when the breeze was too cold. The conservatory has a wide view of the gardens and again was a lovely seating area for a drink after dinner. We stayed for 5 nights, and ate at the hotel every night. Every meal was thoroughly enjoyable, and there was a good choice every evening. We were also spoiled for choice at breakfast, with options such as kippers, eggs benedict, eggs royale and haddock drawing us away from the usual full English. Throughout the whole stay the staff were amazing, very attentive and accommodating. Upon checking out, we booked again next year for our first anniversary! We would recommend this place to anyone, and we look forward to returning.
