The Lions

The service was excellent from beginning to end, John and Pablo were so welcoming and friendly, it really felt like you were guests rather than just clients. The room we stayed in (3) was very big but still very comfortable (although a king size bed could have easily fit so that was a bit of a shame) and cosy with a lovely free standing bath. Breakfast was excellent and location was good too with parking and only a few minutes walk into town. It was also good value for money I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking to stay anywhere in Newark.

Our first visit and certainly won't be the last. What a lovely host Pablo is,he made is very welcome. The room was beautiful, tasteful, and the biggest bathroom we have seen! Everything, clean, tidy Lovely breakfast Only a 10 minute walk into Newark so an ideal was. We will certainly be back and thoroughly recommend.

The Lions is 5 star for us. We felt so well looked after during our 2 night stay. Pablo and John pay attention to the details that matter, so welcoming, beautiful decor, fantastic breakfast, lovely garden area: a truly wonderful place to stay.

Wowsa! Beautiful house and garden. Very nice area as well.Not too far to walk into the town if you needed to. Lovely room, fantastic hosts, great breakfast! Even gave us a glass of wine at night! Hosts were super attentive! What more would you need!

Lovely stay for the wife’s birthday just before Christmas. John and Pablo are the perfect hosts in this lovely hotel offering a fantastic breakfast to start your day. The hotel has plenty of character and is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre.

I was travelling for business and arrived in the dark, I was flustered as I couldn't find it and Pablo stood outside with an umbrella and looked out for me which was so nice. Nothing was too much trouble, from carrying my case, shutting my blinds, showing me how to work different elements of the room and asking what I would like for breakfast. As a woman travelling alone I look endlessly for places wuth great reviews so that I feel safe and I can honestly say I'm so glad I selected here! The reviews really don't lie! Thanks so much for accommodating me and a lovely welcome. The bedding is AMAZING, high thread count so super soft and luxurious, the room was SPOTLESSLY clean, it was nice and warm and just overall a beautiful space to relax in.
