A Stress-Free Stay with Outstanding Hospitality My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at Crystal Room in Newark, NJ. Finding a place that is both affordable and genuinely welcoming can be difficult, but this spot exceeded our expectations. The owner is incredibly cooperative and truly goes above and beyond for his guests. We landed at Newark Airport at 7 AM with a baby, and he kindly allowed us to check in early without any hassle, which was a lifesaver after a long flight. The room itself was well-equipped with a TV and air conditioning, ensuring our comfort. While the bathroom is shared, clean towels were provided, and the overall atmosphere was very quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. The spacious and clean kitchen was a great bonus for our family. The location is excellent for tourists—just two miles from Penn Station Newark, where you can easily catch the PATH train into New York City. We were traveling for tourism, and this made exploring the area so convenient. I would recommend this place with all my abilities to anyone visiting the area. It is a fantastic, no-noise, family-friendly option.

首先他這個房子是類似於自建房民宿我是晚上10:30左右到的，我按門鈴跟房東説明情況，我要入住態度非常惡劣，直接用他們那邊英語叫我滾，我説我的英文不是很好，他們就表現得很不耐煩，我就跟他們説説明能不能下來或者過來幫我辦理一下入住，他們直接回絕了我，並且讓我離開他們的房子第一次遇到這種情況，平台怎麼會讓這種商户註冊真的是給他人入住，造成了極大的困難，並且還有心理上的傷害！！！這一次入住，我將在不再使用這個App，真的缺陷太大了！

這是我所有的旅行中體驗最好的一次，夜裡到達時因為太黑找不到門牌號，房東十分鐘內趕來，並且幫我檢查了門鎖，房間乾淨整潔周圍環境也很好，我想續住時房東説自家沒房子，還熱心幫我找到了別人家的民宿！並且用他的車送我去了超市！真是太貼心了！

I booked this place months in advance. The day of, the host sends me a message to call him to discuss the reservation. He provides no phone number. After looking and finding the number, I call him. He tells me there is an issue with the 'tenant' and the location has changed. I ask him if the new place is compatible and he assures me it is. He tells me he will send the new location shortly. It is now about 940am. Noon time comes around and I have not heard back from him so I message again. Crickets. 50 min later he responses with 'in a moment'. Still nothing. He finally responds at 146pm (check in is at 2pm) with the location of the new place called Villa and Resorts. I believe the host purposely waited until the last minute to send the location because he knew if we had seen the place prior, we would have complained immediately. When we arrive later that evening, the neighborhood is full of abandoned houses, including a boarded up home directly scross the street which looked like it was in a fire. Person high as a kite sitting on the sidewalk and in the street. We didn't feel safe enough to get out of the car, park or even go inside.This is completely unacceptable and totally misleading. Waiting until the last minute to reveal a different location is not okay, especially when it's in an area such as this one. This listing should be removed. Do not use this host who has several locations. Villa and Resorts is a joke! And I find it hard to believe all these 10/10 reviews!

Pretty dirty. The guy was nice but the room was awful and smelled like smoke. Everything was gross, + in a dingy basement. Sorry to be harsh. I would say anyone apart from me would not be okay staying there

The rooms are all in the basement of the house, below a permanent tenant who the host told me after days of getting no sleep that she purposely disturbs guests because the 2 of them don’t get along & she’s supposedly being evicted in a few months. This was very upsetting because the host is allowing paying guests to be disturbed all night & day. Kids running & jumping, loud tv & music, nonstop stomping, extremely loud talking that you can hear word for word, constant dropping of heavy items. This noise lasted while after 3 & 4am every single day. Another long term guests in the basement was arguing with a woman for hours after midnight & screamed at me when I asked him to please keep it down - strangely accused me of asking him to be quiet because he was a black man. The host continued to ask me to pay him outside of the app. Terrible neighborhood as well. I do NOT recommend!

The property owner was kind enough to set me up with a room in a safe neighborhood that I was comfortable in. Happy with the stay.
