Very nice hotel with good location..and view of the Fraser River...kind welcome from the receptionnist with a gift by check in...bottle of water ,& chocolate. Enjoy your stay & chlill and discover this beauty hotel

My granddaughter booked my room there on the river side with a great view and I was staying for 3 days. She lives in New Westminster, so was handy for her to come & pick me up there only being 15 minutes from the Inn. I was quite comfortable there and it was clean and enjoyed a coffee when first waking up. I did go to the Craft Cafe just down the board walk for breakfast and also went for drinks at the Boathouse while there. I'd go back to the Quay if I ever come back to B.C. in the future. Highly recommend it!

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to a surgical centre, and also got a great discounted room rate thanks to a corporate deal between the two. Our room was clean, had 2 queen beds, as well as a desk and a mini-fridge. We had a nice view of the Fraser River. Noise from the river and the train line that runs right past the hotel was minimal and didn't wake us at night. Room service meals are available from the nearby Boathouse Restaurant, but when you go dine there you can't charge your meal to your room...no big deal. Maid service was prompt and daily, better than most hotels these days. A couple of the lamps in the room had broken on/off knobs, and the decor in general looked like it needed an updating. The shower head was good, and plenty of toiletries were provided. There's a nice boardwalk along the riverfront to walk along, but the nearby streets aren't as upscale for exploring or shopping.

I will say it first—the bed in a hotel makes or breaks a vacation. I specifically look for reviews that talk about bed comfort and this hotel got some compliments on their comfortable beds. They were NOT comfortable. I am a boney side sleeper and this bed was just too hard. And wiggly, every time I tried a new position to get comfortable, my husband was jostled awake. We both slept terribly because of that mattress! So if you are sensitive to mattress softness, this is your answer—not this hotel. We did enjoy the location, everything you could want right within steps of your hotel. The architecture was also interesting, though the place needs some updating—there weren’t enough plugs near the bed for charging. I would recommend this place if the bed doesn’t matter, but for my fellow bed queens, this is not the place.
