The fusion of old-world monastic-functionality and modern Spanish architecture provided a sanctuary to recover from the first day of our Camino. Our room opened to the banks of the Ria de Ferrol across which we were able to retrace our journey from Ferrol to Xubia to Nede. We were driven to/from a local restaurant first our pilgrim meal, and our breakfast at Pazo de Merced was a bountiful meal of fruit, an omelet, beverages (coffee or teas, milks, and orange juice), cereal, jamon, and toast… a splendid way to start our second day.

I had a WONDERFUL time at Pazo de Merced. Just a spectacular time. This was my 2nd night of el Camino de Santiago and the peace and tranquility is out of this world. The proprietor is a wonderfully kind gentleman who made sure I was comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

What a wonderful place to stay on the Camino Ingles. Beautiful old building, lovingly restored and right on the waterfront. Our room was very comfortable and looked across the trees and the estuary. We sat for hours on the beautiful terrace, watching the water and the sun set. Sadly the restaurant was closed and we were too tired to go out but we ordered pizza and ate it on the terrace!

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff, and a bed so comfy it felt like we slept on a cloud. After a 10 mile walk, we checked into the hotel with ease, our room wasn’t quite ready so we sat and admired the water front view. We were then shown to our room and it was everything we could hope for. Fully automated black out blinds, a very comfortable double bed, and a gorgeous bathroom with a powerful and hot shower. There is a good sized pool in the garden and a well stocked bar The hotel offered us a table in their restaurant for dinner, which we initially declined as we wanted to explore however we soon found our everything is closed on a Monday so we called to see if they could fit us in and they did. The food was outstanding, 3 course fixed menu and every mouthful was delicious, the wine was beautiful and it wasn’t long before we were off to bed. We had the most amazing sleep, as mentioned the bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet and was kept cool thanks to a fan in the room. We chose breakfast with our booking and it was a good start to the day. Freshly squeezed orange juice, choices of omelettes, yogurts, fruit and toast. All round good place to stay and we would definitely recommend.

We spent one night in the region and this hotel caught my eye in *********** when I was searching for a hotel in Ferrol. I booked and I am extremely happy to have stayed here rather than at a hotel in Ferrol. Ferrol is a fairly industrialised fishing port. This hotel, on the other hand, is a beautiful old converted building (former monastery?) situated on the banks of the estuary at Neda. You feel immersed in nature, the hotel is surrounded by a forest full of birds. The outlook onto the estuary is beautiful, particularly at sunset. Our room was large, with a seperate sitting room in addition to a bedroom. The food is superb, I would highly recommend having dinner here. When we were here it was served in igloo bubbles in the garden near the shoreline. The setting was magical and the food was amazing. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building and location, extremely gracious staff, delicious food. My favorite accommodation on the Camino Ingles. The view of the trees and the river from our room and the restaurant were magical, the bathrooms huge, the water pressure and temperature impressive. I dream of returning to Galicia to stay there again.

A converted monastery in its own grounds nestling on a river estuary. Fixtures and furnishings very well done. Staff very attentive. Bedrooms really comfy. Laid back piano music throughout the building. Now the food. We ate in the library as there was a wedding food tasting event. The star of the show was Oscar our ever attentive waiter/MD. We left ourselves in his capable hands as he guided us through a feast of local cuisine. To start. Croqutes ham and delicious sauce. Tempura prawns local seaweed and truffle. Pulpo on a bed of mash with black garlic sauce. Mains included knuckle of pork braised in a delicious sauce. Plus pork cheek. Oscar chose the local wines which complimented the food superbly. He really did enhance the experience. To top it all he is 6 times spanish national pool champion!

Ha conocido tiempos mucho mejores. Para empezar no ponen cenas y está alejado del pueblo ( sobretodo cuando llueve a raudales y vas haciendo el camino). Nos dieron una habitación sin cerradura, por lo que no pudimos salir y dejar todas nuestras cosas allí. Agujeros en el techo, lavabos y bañeras desconchados, estores rotos y arreglados con grapas, madera muy destrozada.... Menos mal que no tuvimos que dormir en la cama supletoria ni en el sillón porque te hundias. Sólo se salva la cama que es muy cómoda, la temperatura de la habitación y las vistas. La piscina tampoco estaba limpia por si hubiese hecho calor ( lo normal en esta época). En su día debió ser un hotelazo. Hoy es un robo lo que cobra. Por habitaciones mucho mejores en el Camino estoy pagando menos de la mitad. El dueño desbordado a la hora del desayuno y ponen tostadas de pan sandwich ! ( el pan de Neda es famoso) y tienes que estar pidiéndolo . Tienes que estar continuamente pidiendo cosas que se acaban porque está solo y no da abasto.

ho soggiornato una notte in questo hotel durante il cammino inglese di Santiago. L'hotel infatti si trova poco fuori Neda, piccolo borgo che rappresenta di solito la prima tappa del cammino. E' un hotel quasi di lusso, ma non nel prezzo*, situato in riva all'ansa del mare, molto curato e pieno di stile. L'arredamento, la piscina e la posizione letteralmente sul mare lo definiscono sicuramente come un hotel di "esperienza". Anche la cucina è raffinata, anche se alcune scelte dello chef potrebbero essere non condivisibili (ad es. la maionese sui tempura di gamberi !?!). Anche se solo per una notte, vale la pena godersi questo hotel. * a maggio 2022 ho pagato 130 € per una camera per due, colazione compresa.
