Château de Nazelles Amboise

Traveling as 3 couples in Amboise area. A historical property with beautifully restored rooms. Owner extremely helpful making sure all our needs were met from reservations for dinner to transport services. Wonderful breakfast with local goodies. The experience was well worth the extra effort in driving outside of Amboise to have this unique experience among the chateaus of Loire Valley.

This place is magical and to add to the magic - there is a fairy in the form of the owner, Veronique. She will make all your wishes come true and is the most perfect hostess! My husband and stayed here 3 nights and couldn’t have been happier. Delicious breakfast- attentive staff…. Even could do a load of laundry for a nominal fee.

Romantic, charming and secluded. If you want a romantic experience for your prince or princess, this is it. The hotel is situated in a period manor/castle that takes you back to the age of nobles and monarchs with tasteful and subtle decor. The pictures on their website are accurate. Because the hotel only has a limited number of rooms, it is very peaceful. We opted for the breakfast which was all organic and home made. Absolutely fabulous. Thank you Pedro.

Magical. If guests are looking for a beautiful countryside Chateau feel…this is the perfect location. Quickly accessible by vehicle to Amboise or Vouray for tastings and fun! We enjoyed breakfast prepared on site. Consisting of warm crescent rolls, breads, local cheese and soft boiled eggs. Veronique’s knowledge of the restaurants is amazing! She directed us to the perfect locations! The grounds that surround the château are beautiful and private. We enjoyed an evening under the stars in the gardens, sipping on wine that we purchased locally purchased along with cheese's and crackers. An excellent choice for anyone to stay! I love this part of France. There are castles, world class wines, excellent food, and, in the case of Chateau Nazelle, one of our most favorite places in France. We have stayed here several times since 2010, and, fortunately for us, Chateau Nazelle hasn’t changed. It is the same unique and beautiful hilltop estate that it was the first time we stayed there. Chateau Nazelle was one of 3 places we returned to for our 40th wedding anniversary. It is just that kind of place. Veronique, the owner, has not changed either. She is a delightful and thoughtful person who has maintained the Chateau wonderfully. Everything seems to function perfectly whether she is there or not. This is just one more reason to travel to the Loire Valley.

Loved it. Veronique was a kind and gracious host. Really liked my room which was interesting and unique. Really nice common area. Beautiful grounds. The chateau backs onto vineyards making for wonderful walks.
