Venetiko Apartments

Amazing host! A beautiful and charming apartment right in the heart of the old town close to many amenities. The rooms give you a true experience of the Greek way of life! I would highly recommend this accommodation for those traveling alone, couples and larger groups.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the family apartment. We stayed for 10 days so the extra space was very comfortable. Vagelis met us at the ferry and walked us to the apartment, pointing out places of interest and recommending restaurants along the way. The apartment is very authentic, filled with character, located in the old town but tucked away from the busy crowds and noise. It's very handy for exploring the old town, to convenience stores, shops and restaurants. There was a very generous basket of fruit, a jar of jam and 2 bottles of wine from Vagelis's farm provided. The bed was very comfortable and luxurious. The shower has a curtain and is a little small but the shower head and water pressure are great. Night gowns and slippers were provided along with beach towels. There's a lovely balcony and the kitchen window has a view of one of the churches and the sea. All in all a beautiful spot to stay with a lovely and generous host.

an enchanting place, a blast from the past. small courtyard with grape pergola, chairs and tables in style and the room: a little gem. the place is small but well organized with a large bed and kitchen area and a nice bathroom. all very simple but well cared for. there is an air of the past, of history. the owner is very nice and helpful. un posto incantevole, un tuffo nel passato. piccolo cortile con pergolato di uva, sedie e tavoli in stile e la camera: un gioiellino. il locale è piccolo ma ben organizzato con ampio letto e zona cucina e con un bel bagno. tutto molto semplice ma curato. si respira aria di passato, di storia. il proprietario è molto gentile e disponibile.

Siamo appena tornati da una vacanza tra cicladi e piccole cicladi. Arrivati ad Iraklia senza prenotazione ci siamo fatti un giretto ed abbiamo addocchiato la casa, molto carina e con una bella vista sul mare. Abbiamo chiesto il prezzo ai gestori ed abbiamo accettato subito senza neanche cercare di abbassarlo. Poi, visto che il tempo stava cambiando ed il volo era da Mykonos abbiamo deciso di anticipare di un giorno la partenza perchè avevamo paura che potessero cancellare dei traghetti (cosa che può capitare). Quando abbiamo detto che dovevamo partire da gestori carini e gentili hanno cambiato subito faccia diventando molto scocciati e risentiti. Al momento del pagamento abbiamo dato più soldi in quanto non avevamo i contati giusti e..non ci crederete, si sono trattenuti tutto non ridandoci il resto! Hanno inventato che la tariffa concordata fosse un'altra etc ma invece erano assolutamente in mala fede anche perchè quando gli abbiamo dato i soldi (più di quanto si aspettassero) hanno parlato in greco fra di loro sogghignando. Inutile è stato dire che il prezzo concordato non era quello e che non erano corretti, se li sono tenuti e basta. Per concludere, il posto è carino ma ovviamente un episodio del genere, che mai mi era capitato in tanti anni di viaggio, non mi farà certo tornare da loro. Ps per di più, quando siamo andati a chiedere per prezzo e disponibilità della camera che sarebbe poi stata libera il giorno dopo abbiamo poi chiesto se possibile vederla e ce ne hanno mostrata un'altra con un bel terrazzo dicendo che quella a fianco che ci avrebbero assegnato sarebbe stata uguale. Peccato che, arrivati il giorno dopo, abbiamo constatato che c'era un balconcino minuscolo dove c'era giusto lo stazio di 2 sedie. La cosa non mi avrebbe disturbato più di tanto se non ci fosse stato l'episodio finale alquanto sgradevole del resto che si sono trattenuti.

Les appartements sont situés dans un clos fermé comportant plusieurs logements d'époque. Ils sont situés dans la vieille ville de Naxos, à quelques pas du quartier touristique, du château et du port. Notre logement s'apparentait à une maison complète comprenant une chambre, cuisine, sdb ainsi qu'une terrasse donnant sur la cour intérieure. Une fois la porte franchie, c'est un musée vivant qui s'étale sous les yeux : vieilles pierres (certaines parties de la maison ont plus de 500 ans!!!), mobilier ancien, vieux objets et même trésors archéologiques retrouvés sous les fondations de la maison et visibles depuis une trappe transparente dans le sol de la chambre. Sans dénaturer les lieux, l'appartement disposait de tout le confort moderne ; climatisation, coffre fort, cuisine équipée, TV écran plat, WiFi etc. J'avais quelques craintes concernant la réservation car le propriétaire n'a jamais donné suite à mes deux mails (dont un via l'application booking) confirmant mon arrivée. Mes doutes se sont dissipés quand j'ai pris contact par téléphone ; le monsieur s'est montré directement très accessible, courtois et arrangeant. Il est venu nous attendre à la sortie du bateau (heureusement car la ville de Naxos est un vrai labyrinthe) et nous a fait une présentation des lieux à visiter tout en nous offrant des petits cadeaux. Il s'est également montré très souple pour le check out et nous a permis de laisser nos bagages dans l'enceinte du lotissement jusqu'à l'arrivée de notre bateau. Nous recommandons cet établissement si vous cherchez un lieu atypique et une immersion dans une maison cycladique d'époque. Le logement n'est par contre pas adapté à des enfants ni à des personnes recherchant des infrastructures d'hôtel classiques (pas de personnel sur place, tout se gère par téléphone notamment pour le check out, pas idéal si vous sortez tard car il faut retrouver son chemin, etc)
