Plumpton Court

An amazing place to stay. Jenny and Chris are very welcoming, the rooms are top notch and the breakfast was delicious. I would 100 % recommend this lovely B & B. A perfect place to explore the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Dunnington Hall is a good trip.

Our second visit and just as fantastic as the first time. Would never stop anywhere else if we are in this part of the world. Hosting is top notch and breakfast 10/10 too. Homemade marmalade and the attention to details is second to none. The garden area at the back is great place to chill.

I was taken to Plumpton Court guest house for two nights as part of an extended birthday treat by my partner and sister who had been there before. A beautiful big house with character and charm. Chris greeted us cheerfully and friendly and you just knew that it was going to be a good stay. There's a lovely lounge bar area and a relaxed atmosphere. Our rooms were clean and bright and the most huge comfortable high quality bed. Breakfast was the best ever with fresh local produce and even vine tomatoes. A choice of cereals and fresh fruit juice. I can say genuinely that this is the best guest house/hotel experience I've ever had. I can hardly wait for our next visit.

This is probably the best B&B ever! Chris & Jenny friendly,warm and have thought of everything, breakfast is plentiful the whole house is full of gorgeous touches and we will definitely be returning, the honesty bar was well stocked,and the flapjack delightful 😊 xxx

Arrived at Plumpton Court on Friday evening and from the moment we arrived the hosts, Chris and Jenny, couldn’t have been more helpful. We were in the ground floor room which was a twin. The beds could do with an update but the rest of the facilities were great. The shower was brilliant and little touches like homemade flapjacks in the room were lovely. Went and sat in the lounge first evening and was joined by Chris. Really nice chap with a wealth of stories. The breakfast Saturday morning was fabulous, perfectly cooked and well presented. We used the hotel as a base to explore the local hot spots and Chris pointed us in the right direction. There is a lack of local taxi services, make sure if you want a taxi you book ahead. You can find all the numbers on Plumpton Courts website. Each room has a tv with an attached DVD player. There are plenty on choices and we really enjoyed falling asleep to some old classics. Breakfast on the second morning was amazing. I had scrambled eggs and they are probably the best I’ve ever had - sublime. Would highly reckoned Plumpton Court. The hosts are amazing and really set a standard which will be hard to beat. If we are in North York’s again we would definitely stay at Plumpton Court.

We have now stayed at Plumpton Court twice in 2 weeks. The room and bathroom was lovely and immaculately clean. Every amenity you need and more! Two special homemade flapjacks were a delightful welcome. The honesty bar room was fully stocked with many wines and spirits and a nice relaxing space to sit and enjoy. Breakfast was five star!!! The hosts Jenny & Chris were very hospitable and just lovely people. We will be back next year!
