Taka Matanzas

We made a side trip and one night stop at this unique small lodge with individual cabanas, a lovely dining room and interesting public spaces. The hospitality was wonderful and attentive. Too bad we couldn't stay longer. I would love to return again to enjoy the area.

We feel so lucky to have our friends bring us to thus gorgeous hotel. The view is spectacular, the room is so well designed and inviting. We got a good workout in the gym then enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub and a Pisco Sour. Dinner was marvelous!

Very nice and con fortable hotel! The rooms are very cozy and the breakfast is great It is not close to the beach, but has a great view. The bar outside has a limited menu, but it is a nice place to get a drink. The service is very good

This hotel is stylish with a laid back vibe. The rooms have a natural feel with a comfy bed, effective shower and a good sized balcony with sun and shade. Pay a little for one with a sea view as it is well worth it. The grounds are well tended with lots of native plants and there are private sun beds, a giant chess and a mini skate park. There are two TV rooms both of which have Netflix and Amazon Prime. There are two swimming pools with ample loungers, low key music and shade and there is a spa with massages but I didn’t use it. It’s a great place to unwind for a few days on the coast. However there are a few things to know or you won’t enjoy it. 1. It’s about 2k from Matanzas up a steep hill and there are no taxis or Uber so if you go into town you need to drive and pay for parking. I wouldn’t advise walking back along the main coast road in the dark 2. Complicated food is not their thing. Breakfast which doesn’t start until 9 is simple and samey and apart from that they mostly serve pizza in the bar. If you want a coffee, you get one for free from reception. 3. There is no air conditioning. This didn’t bother us as we set up a nice through draft but it might some people. However there is a heater in the room. 4. The staff are young and friendly but if you don’t speak Spanish not many speak good English although they try and communication wasn’t a big issue. 5. No TV in the room and the Wi-Fi is a weak outside the main hotel buildings That said it’s probably the nicest hotel in Matanzas and armed with this info you should have a great stay

Lejos el mejor lugar para quedarse en Matanzas. Tiene todo lo que buscas pero lo mejor es el servicio de todo su personal. Hemos muchas veces a matanzas y Puertecillo, y las últimas 5 o 6 veces hemos elegido este lugar para quedarnos. porque es precioso, tiene todo lo que necesitas para ir a relajarte ya sea en pareja o en familia, el gym, el desayuno es maravilloso, el spa, las tinajas, y las salas para ver pelis y juegos para los niños, los fogones para los marshmallows, pisicinas y oficina para las reuniones urgentes. La atención tan personalizada y amable es un sello superior. Gracias Vanessa, Roberto, Francisco, Marina, Gabriela, Denisse, Hugo, Mauricio, Nicole, y a todos los que nos tratan cada vez que vamos como si fuésemos los únicos huéspedes en el hotel y eso que siempre está completo ＜3 con mucha gratitud....Familia Lama Cortés.

Un lugar realmente rico. Ideal para descansar y relajarse. Un restaurant realmente exquisito e instalaciones muy cómodas con muchas actividades para hacer. Bar, piscina, hot tube, gimnasio, pool, hamacas, fogón, todo lo necesario para no moverse si uno quiere, y a 5 minutos de matanzas por si uno quiere ir a las playa o recorrer. Un muy buena experiencia.
