Solo traveler. I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. The location is quite handy as it is close to the railway ( 9 min. flat walk) and to the city centre, where my business partners office is located (10-15 min. flat walk). From the outside it looks a little run down (e.g. old signage and dated style). Staff seems nice although they are not really helpful, or maybe they don't have the resources to be helpful. I arrived in the city at 1pm during a red warning storm but I wasn't allowed to check in until 4pm, although they offered to keep my luggage if I wanted to go for a walk (?). At check -in they charged me €100 deposit, I was told in case I incurred in extra expenses (e.g. room service). At check-out they ensured the deposit would be returned to my account in the afternoon but I am still waiting for the reimbursement 3 days after. Breakfast is quite good, although it could be better tended (e.g. egg boiler had insufficient water to boil the eggs and the temperature was too low). They didn't have vegan milk (soya, oat etc..). Also, it was unpleasant that staff vacuumed near guests tables during breakfast. My room was quite run down: the carpet was stained and had cigarette burns. The room had peeled walls, and there were broken tiles in the bathroom. The furniture didn't look too fresh. I didn't dare to sit on the sofa since the upholstery didn't look very clean. The mattress was really bad. I could feel (and hear) all the springs and woke up with a very bad back pain in the morning. The heating wasn't working either and didn't get fixed during my stay, although I had advised reception of the problem. In summary: Novotel was such a disappointment and not worth the money. The pictures they show on the website and booking platforms are not accurate (at least for my room). I won't recommend it to anyone.

Awful experience. We attended before check in to advise the front desk we had arrived. No issue that room was not ready before check in time but stunned to be phoned later that evening while at dinner to be asked if we still wanted the room. When we did get the room it was clear one of the beds had not been changed and the sheets were filthy. The duty manager did not believe us and insisted on seeing the room. Although initially told there was no alternative we were soon offered another but without properly functioning aircon. This was presented on a take it or stay in the dirty room basis. It should not be above a manager to change a bed - I’ve stayed at and worked for five stars where that would have been done immediately. We were given drinks vouchers as a sop but since we were only staying one night and it was at that stage already after midnight the gesture was entirely token. Breakfast the next morning was chaos and the cleaning staff were mopping and hoovering as guests ate. Shambolic operation - even Basil Fawlty would do better here… stay elsewhere…

The hotel itself was quite good and well maintained. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were courteous and well behaved and of course very helpful. Overall it was a very good experience at the hotel. Route 4 that goes to the main visitor attractions starts right in front of the hotel and the station is a 8 minute walk. Only thing that can be improved is the number of sockets in the room. Everything else was good

Visited with a group of 10 Welsh fans for Rugby World Cup. Stayed three nights. Hotel was excellent value with great location, 10 minutes walk to old town but with plenty of local bars and restaurants even closer. Staff were really pleasant and helpful both before and during our stay. Bravo Novotel. Merci beaucoup. Diolch yn fawr.

The hotel is in a very good location. You may walk around the hotel and you don’t need a car. I loved the park we went to and saw the churches. As for the hotel it is very clean and we enjoyed our breakfast and dinner there. The wifi ok. The staff very friendly

The Hotel and staff overall was very good. The staff customer service skills are out of this world. Rooms do look a bit tired. Word of advice don't be put off by bringing your own pillow if possible as the pillows in the Hotel are very flimsy and don't support your neck.

Actually this is our last night in this hotel for hellfest but after stayed in Pullman Tour Paris and Hyatt group in Venice, we fell this hotel is not at their standard. The 1st weekend was ok with ok room but since we arrived after midnight there is no room service, they did not clean the room when we put the housekeeping sign and their housekeeping only available until 2pm. Then now on our 2nd weekend, we are greeted very well by the morning shift cause he still remember us from last weekend, but we got the room 521 and it was dirty especially the window area where there's spider nest with spider of course. compare to previous room there is no plug on the bed side and no soap. Then after days we came back very late cause of hellfest and no one ask us on our room number until last night one of their staff (dark color) asked our room number and we mentioned but it took him more than 5 minutes to check. We are so angry cause it's 4am and just want to go to our room to sleep. We did not wait for him and his reason because he did not see us before and while waiting for elevator, 4 white guys came in and he did not asked them anything. So being asian does matter in this hotel. No hospitality what so ever, so you need to do some re training for him. Maybe because he always on the late shift but being friendly should not be taught when your in hospitality industry. When the review could be ok but he really made our stay very not enjoyable. Aside of that all the morning/afternoon shifts are very welcome and helpful.

My first time in Novotel and last. We stayed 5 nights during Hellfest and we had the hotel booked for over a year. On arrival we were asked to pay a deposit of 800 euros and that was a discount as it should be 900. When we left we had to pay nearly 100 euros more than what was mentioned on ***********. We received only one water on arrival and another day even though we were there 5 nights and we were two people. The hand wash finished after one night and was never refilled. This weekend the temperatures were around 40 degrees and we were given a room with faulty aircon. We were in 2 stars hotels with service way beyond this. As soon as we arrived we were scared we would not have a hotel to stay in and we had booked over a year before. Unnacceptable. The locker had an error at a point and even though the staff quickly sorted it out, it gave us a panic attack as our passports etc were there. We never had an apology, on the opposite we were invited to cancel in the most packed weekend of the year (thank you!) and were overcharged. They charged us breakfasts we never had and some tax never mentioned on the booking. The experience was really not worth the price and I will never chose Novotel again.

Location was great as we had tickets to a concert in the Cité du Congres just next door. Rooms were clean and a good size. Parking was a bit confusing. Breakfast was good with a wide choice of different foods. The only thing that annoyed us was that the bar ran out of Muscadet white wine (€4 a glass) and the only other white wine that they had was Chablis at €8 per glass. Nantes is the centre of wine country, so this was a bit disappointing!

Destacó la cordialidad de los empleados, jóvenes muy atentos pendientes de nuestras necesidades. El hotel está bien ubicado a 500 metros de la gare. El desayuno es normal por el precio podría tener más productos. El restaurante estaba cerrado por lo cual no podemos opinar. La habitación era grande y cómoda y el baño estaba dividido en dos partes. La puntuación es porque no funcionó la calefacción en las tres noches que estuvimos. El hotel puede ser mejorado ya que le falta un poco de mantenimiento. Tuvimos una buena estadía a pesar del problema de la calefacción. Los días fueron nublados y fríos. Fuimos a La Rochelle en flexi bus - se llega con tranvía a la parada - y volvimos en tren., en el día Paseo recomendable en sábado o domingo. No perderse el mercado . Nantes es una bonita ciudad para realizar una parada. El aeropuerto está cerca y tiene una conexion en bus que deja en la gare de Nantes.

La direction de cet hotel est indigne et je pèse mes mots. Elle nous a facturé trois nuits a moi et a mon collègue au tarif plein, et nous a relogé dans un hotel de bien moindre qualité (même pas un 2 étoiles), ne nous a proposé, aucun dédommagement, aucun geste commercial. En français, j'appelle cela du vol. C'est inadmissible en France
