"Pros: The hotel's location and environment are great. The underground parking is spacious, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area entrance. As for the scenic area itself, I found it to be pretty average (personally, I don't think it's worth it). The front desk lady was very enthusiastic and helpful. Cons: The breakfast was just okay, and the room facilities were lacking. In particular, there weren't enough hooks for clothes in the bathroom. While there was a small rack for towels in the shower, the dry area outside only had one very low hook next to the sink, which was extremely inconvenient – it was too low and made it easy to get dry clothes wet."

"The location of the hotel is fantastic and our room looked directly over the tulou cluster. If you don't mind climbing up steps, you can walk to the high level observation platform in about 15 minutes for a stunning view over the valley. The rooms and facilities are basic but clean and there is plenty of hot water. As elsewhere in China the mattresses are very hard but okay for a couple of nights. The couple who run the business are very friendly and helpful and, if you don't want to eat out, they offer good and tasty home cooking."

"Very beautiful accoms with many photo opportunities. They even provide hanfu for photo taking. Accoms is clean and it is fun cultural experience to stay in a tulou. Breakfast was interesting and authentic local cuisine. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Note that the room is structured such that the toilet is on the bottom floor and the beds are on the top floor, which can be inconvenient for elderly people. Do have your meals at the Shang Zhai restaurant beside the accoms (also recommended by the accoms). They grow their own vegetables and poultry which they butcher/harvest after your order. The price is also lower than in the yunshuiyao scenic area."

"I stayed here 11 years ago. The Yunshuiyao Scenic Area is right outside the door, with a big banyan tree at the entrance and a waterwheel across the river. The owners were a very hospitable and kind couple. I fondly remember sharing drinks with them that year. Now, the guesthouse has been renovated and rebuilt, and the environment is beautiful. The couple is still as warm and welcoming as they were back then. Parking is also convenient. After we parked, the sister-in-law helped us with our luggage, and when we left, the brother-in-law escorted us to the parking lot. I will definitely come back to Yunshuiyao and Zai Shui Yi Fang again in the future."

"The worst hot spring hotel I have ever stayed in. The room always smells like sewage. After being ventilated for an afternoon, the smell was very strong when I came back. The smell made me want to vomit, and it was even more outrageous that it was so big. The air conditioner in the hotel actually broke down in the middle of the night. It was said that it would be repaired at 14:00 the next day. The weather was nearly 32 degrees during the day. I was really impressed! There won't be a next time"

"The lady in charge was really nice and helpful, she offered to drink a tea and gave tips for food outside. She speaks rather good English to communicate on every needs. The room is quite small and cozy, well decorated and offers all we hoped to find. Notice that the mattress is absolutely comfortable. As only 5 people still live in the place, it’s really quiet and we slept very deeply. It’s possible to have Chinese typical breakfast at the basement in a lovely room apart, this was good, generous and healthy. First floor and 2nd you can visit a little museum room with old tools and furniture."

"The room wasn’t what we expected - pictures looked better than in person but it was a comfy room. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The room included water and heat which was needed in the winter. Everything was perfect except the bathrooms smelt bad like sewage occasionally. We think it was the drainage or the pipes so we had to keep the bathroom door closed. Some moulding in there as well and there was an area behind the toilet that just kept leaking so the bathroom was very wet all the time. There could also be improvement from the shower area - door doesn’t close properly so water when showering kept spraying out. The accommodation is inside the village so it was nice to walk around in the morning and see the village wake up. Overall, room was great but bathroom was not. We ate dinner onsite but it was a bit pricey. Food was tasty but texture wasn’t to our liking. Owner was very kind and reheated our breakfast when we came down late. Also gave us a bottle of homemade rice wine when we checked out."

"Service is good. The manager was attentive and warm. Food is variable. Dinner was excellent but lunch was not. Temperature control in the room was not good. Master bedroom heater was located in a wall cupboard and heat was not well distributed around the room. Hence it was cold. Like wise the bathrooms were cold. Shower water pressure was low. The three cats were delightful. The sitting room was large and comfortable. The mahjong table was a very good addition. The grounds were pretty with water features, carps, a swan and ducks. The mist created gave it an ethereal atmosphere. But lots and lots of steps. Not good for the elderly. Overall a good hotel. Excellent location to explore village."

"The style was minimalist, just my style. The room was clean and tidy, and the owners were very kind and welcoming. They not only picked us up from the bus station but also helped us plan our route and recommended good restaurants. We were even pleasantly surprised by the generous afternoon tea. When we left, they helped us arrange a shared ride and gave us a jar of homemade candied bayberries. It's the kind of place I would stay again and recommend to friends. Truly excellent."

"I had an absolutely lovely stay at the Nanjing Tulou Cultural Centre 1945 Resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right between two of the popular areas and it is easy to walk to both! The food at the restaurant we delicious for both dinner and breakfast, and the drinks service at the bar was also brilliant, sourcing fresh ingredients direct from the garden for cocktails! The room was huge, very clean and well presented. I’d be more than happy to stay here again."
