Hotels in Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, Nanjing

This stay experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel demonstrated the quality of a high-end brand from the environment to the service. It has a superior geographical location and complete facilities. It is especially suitable for family trips and business trips. It is worth recommending and will choose again.

We stayed in Floral Luxury.1949 Guesthouse for 1 night. We booked Mufan room located on the ground floor as i am travelling with my elderly mom and carrying heavy luggage bags. The guesthouse butler will contact you the night before your arrival to add them to Wechat for easy communication. They will share their hotel location and offer pick-up service at the train station if required. Access to Yunshuiyao town is RMB90 perpax and free for those aged above 65 years old. Yunshuiyao is a scenic town area with 3 km long (2 - 3 hours walk). We hired a chinese speaking guide to accompany us to explain the history of Huaiyan building (square tulou), Hegui building (round tulou), and the town area. It cost RMB100. The guesthouse is located inside Yunshuiyao town, behind the shop houses, in-between waterwheel and 2 trees (named as husband and wife) aged above 670 years old. When we reached there at 2.30 pm, it was raining. The hotel staff immediately came out with an umbrella to pick us up and assist with the luggage. The check-in is fast, and the access to the room is by password, which they will share in Wechat. Checkout is also very easy. The hotel offered free fruits twice a day, afternoon and evening. The basic bathroom essentials are complete, and they also provide bathrobes. The bed and pillows are very comfortable for a good night sleep. Luckily the aircond can change to warm mode as it was very cold on raining day. There's a mini kids playground for children's. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set come with porridge and soya drink. Can topup if needed more. The in-house restaurant provides lunch & dinner with a la carte chinese foods menu. The sky brightens at 5 am, while the sun rises high at 6.45am. If you are able to wake up early, this is the best time for you to revisit the town and tulou surrounding area for nice photos and cool breeze as only local people around. There's a roadside stall selling super long youtiao (equal to size of 2 youtiao) located near the stone bridge not far from guesthouse. The whole Yunshuiyao town is covered with natural peebles pathway. Wear suitable shoes as it will be very slippery during the rainy day.

A very beautiful hotel with the structure in wood of an old tulou and a fishpond in the center of the courtyard. It was very peaceful. You really have the feeling of living in a tulou and you have a little balcony with a splendid view of the courtyard and the roof. You are awaken by the sounds of the birds in the morning, it is really a unique experience. The only failings : the breakfast was a bit lacking + it can be weird for some people that the bathroom and the bedroom are not on the same floor. They should also add a curtain to the window near the bed.

The boss is very enthusiastic and the service is very considerate, which makes people feel very warm. The room is stylishly decorated, clean and tidy, and very comfortable to live in. The B&B has a quiet environment and beautiful surrounding scenery, so you can enjoy nature as soon as you go out. Here I completely relaxed and had a great time. I will come again next time and recommend it to everyone!

The hotel is in a great location, just opposite the waterwheel and next to the Yunshui Yao stone tablet. It is very suitable for taking photos in the morning and evening when there are few tourists. The boss provides very good service. It is a cost-effective B&B and is worth recommending to everyone!

The homestay itself is a renovated Tulou. It is antique and very experiential. It is a good choice for those who want to experience Tulou accommodation. Disadvantages: There is no hot water in the room. We booked a family room with two large beds, which accommodated 4 adults and 1 child. The room rate of 2099 during the Spring Festival is acceptable. But it is outrageous that there is no hot water. It’s okay that the whole family didn’t take a shower. The mountain spring water is very cold, and it’s hard to wash your face and hands. Secondly, because the room is a Tulou with a wooden structure, no matter upstairs or downstairs, inside or outside the room, as long as someone walks, you can feel the vibration and sound while lying in bed. Finally, breakfast is only prepared by two elderly people, and it is very slow. You may not be able to eat at 8:30, and a bunch of people are waiting for breakfast at the kitchen door. 😅😅😅

Excellent service + authentic Tulou + excellent location + affordable price! ! ! After living abroad for a long time, I came back to celebrate the New Year. I drove all the way from Shanghai with my family and pets. There are three places in China that I want to visit: Tibet, Jiuzhaigou, and Fujian Tulou; especially the animated film ”Big Fish and Begonia” a few years ago, which has a plot about Tulou. I found this accommodation temporarily on Ctrip. It was an authentic Tulou with a very affordable price. The service was especially touching. The boss lady was warm and down-to-earth. After I called the ticket office at the scenic spot to communicate, she was waiting by the roadside early. The paths in the scenic spot are narrow, the navigation is winding, there are many cars, and we often have to merge with other cars. We also encountered the car in front of us falling into a ditch (which was thrilling to watch). We saw a kind auntie wearing high-heeled leather shoes and a skirt helping to push... After we arrived at the B&B, the auntie followed us and said hello, and we learned that she was the boss here, and the person who fell into the ditch was not a guest here. She also mentioned details such as my family being unwell later. This auntie is really kind, and it’s not because she does this business, but because of the kindness of human nature. Before leaving, the family photo she helped to take made us exclaim ”WoW” again and again 👍It is very close to the core attractions such as Tulou (if you stay here, those popular check-in Tulou will be Fuyun), the big banyan tree, and the waterwheel, only a few minutes' walk; there are also many farm dishes nearby (some of them are overcharged and we have encountered them). It is recommended to buy a set meal on Dianping.com, at least the price is clearly marked. Although there are many people in Yunshui Yao Scenic Area, the experience is not bad. This accommodation experience is really pleasant! Of course, we have to be honest. Since the bathroom in the Tulou is a later renovation, please manage your expectations. I wish you all have fun and I hope the boss auntie will do better and better!

The room is very nice, clean and tidy, the area is just right, it will not be small enough to put the suitcase, and it will not be large enough to have no sense of security. The decoration of the room is also to my liking. The electrical appliances inside are also very new and easy to use, especially the hair dryer. Many hotels have very small hair dryers, so I have my own hair dryer, and there is a surprise this time. If you have to pick something wrong, it is that there is no full-length mirror. But the strong never complain about the environment, I have my own way. The room on the top floor has a large terrace. In the morning, the cows and horses will become immortals for a breath of fresh air. The uncles and aunts and the boss in the hotel were very enthusiastic and took me to take pictures. The lunch at noon on the first day was still made by the boss and invited me to eat ♥️ The people I met on this trip were very friendly. I will definitely come again if I have a chance.

🏨The B&B is a large farmhouse. It has three stores in Yunshuiyao. It is relatively strong. The Yunshuichan we stayed in is a two-story building. However, because there are not many people living there, the store upgraded the first floor of Xijentang with a courtyard. The room is large, clean and well-equipped. There is a parasol in the yard. You can sit in the yard to drink tea and play cards, but barbecues are not allowed. 🙋The waiter added WeChat in advance, and the service was warm and thoughtful. He informed us of the route. When he arrived at the entrance of the folk custom, he took the initiative to greet us, guide us in parking and help carry our luggage. 💰The price is slightly more expensive than most B&Bs in Yunshuiyao, but the environment, hardware facilities and courtyards are also of a higher grade, which is a high-quality experience. Secondly, we upgraded the room type during the off-season~ so it’s still good~ 🎵Soundproofing is average, a common problem in most hotels. 🏡The yard is very large, with a small lake containing 🐟 and 🐢, and a fish pond with koi carps and bonsai arrangements. It is very touching and comfortable. ✨The night view is beautiful. It is recommended that friends who stay here can go for a walk downstairs at night~ 🍵The B&B provides free afternoon tea, sit by the stream and listen to the flowing water from the small bridge~ 🗺️The entire Yunshuiyao is relatively remote... We drove there. After entering the village, the road was narrow and not easy to drive. Yunshuichan can be reached as soon as you enter the village, so you don't have to walk many narrow roads, but there is also a short walk to Dashui Chezhu Scenic Area, which takes about 8 minutes. The location is pretty good ~ 🥩Standard breakfast includes rice porridge, eggs, steamed buns, corn, sweet potatoes, and four side dishes~ 🏊The B&B is equipped with a small swimming pool, but it is not open due to the current temperature. I don’t know if it will be open in summer~ Advantages and Disadvantages ✅Advantages ✅The decoration of the B&B is very careful, and the setting is very reasonable. It can be seen that a lot of thought has been put into it. Comparing it with other B&Bs, you can see that this one is very tasteful. It checks in and takes pictures. The overall experience is very good. ✅Upgrade your room type for free and experience high-quality accommodation at a small cost ❌Slots ❌Like most hotels and B&Bs, the soundproofing is average ❌No barbecue allowed in the yard, which is a bit of a pity Overall, the experience exceeded expectations and it was a trip worth looking forward to. Regardless of accommodation, service, sanitation, equipment, and environment, it was close to the level of a five-star hotel. Breakfast is of high quality in a farmhouse. The main purpose of staying here is to be a comfortable petty bourgeoisie. In short, it is highly recommended. It is rare to find a mountain B&B that is better in all aspects😋 Warm reminder: You still need to buy scenic spot tickets when staying in the hotel ~ you can enter and exit the scenic spot multiple times

This B&B hotel is really great. The rooms are more comfortable than expected. There are deluxe package, family version and standard rooms, which can meet all kinds of needs. The interior of the house is exactly the same as the photo. You can also see the view of the creek from the courtyard. The landlord's service is very warm. It can be said without exaggeration that it has reached the level of a housekeeper. Every space is very stylish. The bathroom is small and clean.
