Ulasan Hotel Ocean (Kokusai-Dori)

Poorest service ever had in Japan. The twin size bed was not fitted for 1 man and 1kid, i was not satisfied with the tiny bed size. However, they asked for additional 10K yen for upgrade to 2 twin beds which is not reasonable. This room should not released for 2 people which the bed is too small. The manager was giving a ridiculous reason that other customers were having same situation and no solution giving other than upgrade or else we need to stay in the tiny bed for 4 nights. Definitely not recommended for any one of you to choose the mini bed size for 2 people.

Great stay at this Hotel ocean. Kids friendly, located by the main street and just a few mins walk to the walking street. 5 mins walk to the monorail.Very convenient. Great pool for kids. Not too deep, even four years old kid can stand and play with confidence. The pool offer free Floats eg donuts, mats, etc. There are 2 coins operated washing/drying machines. And so many stuff you can just take to use eg extra chairs, small fans, camping lights etc like in the pics I posted. Also there are selections of pillows to choose for your own comfort, so much selections of shampoos, baby’s soap to choose by yourself. 24 hrs drinks/tea/coffee. Play area for your kids. And some activities for your kids to do. The staff are helpful and always there for you. Even when I was there late night chitchat in common area. The room we had was family room for 4. Cozy and enough space for our bags. Overall. We had a great experience. Thank you.

Front desk service was friendly during checkin. Enjoyed the kids play area and free drinks at lobby. Thoughtful to have included a range of different kids and adult shampoos and also free diapers and different pillows to choose from. Didn’t know we have to put rubbish and used towels into the plastic bags provided and leave outside door for them to collect though.

Very good experience! They have free goodies including a 24 hr snack bar w ice cream and drinks, full shelf of shampoos and soap for u you choose aside from those already provided in the room. At the room floors, there are extra tables, racks, weighing scales, and many other appliances you can borrow. The kids sponge and tooth brush are so cute. Even have their mascot appear from time to time!

The staff were great and provided plenty of children’s supplies. However, the hotel is outdated, and both the rooms and bathrooms feel old, with noticeable water stains and a musty smell.

We enjoyed our stay. Great for families. Staff are friendly, nice breakfast, lots of things great for kids like free nappies, free stroller rental, beach toys to borrow, etc etc. Room is small, typical of Japan, with very little storage space, but it was OK for us. It's a 3 star hotel, they don't do daily room cleaning for example but will give you fresh towels each day. The location is very close to the monorail and if you like walking you can get to lots of parts of the city on foot from the hotel. I think it's good value for money and I would stay again.

Highly recommended for family with small kids. Full of surprises and offers for kids, e.g. snacks, playground, swimming pool. But the hotel room is a bit small, and not very clean. The mattress and pillows are not good.

Great size , room comes with mini kitchen and large futon bed, good size of balcony that allowed us to watch fireworks over the 2023 count down! Wonderful experience.

People who are sensitive to indoor air, dust, mold, and musty smells are advised not to stay here! The ancient style and outdated facilities of this hotel are very similar to those of Taiwan's military camps. It is a good opportunity for the elderly, women and children who normally cannot experience a real military camp to experience it. I can't imagine why this hotel has such high ratings on Trips and Google Maps. What's your intention when you give it such high ratings? I also stayed here because of the high reviews and the family-friendly nature of the hotel, but what was the result? I even had difficulty breathing in the hotel. The hotel claims to be child-friendly, but my child wet the bed in the middle of the night and a little bit of wetting, the size of a 50-yuan coin, was left on the mattress through the sheets. The counter charged more than 12,000 yen for a replacement. The point is that when the housekeeping staff pulled back the sheets, the mattress looked old, yellow and torn, and the replacement was almost the same, which means that the hotel is old, the facilities are old, and even the bed you lie on is old, just like the mattresses in the Taiwan military, which are all yellow. Wow, they have the nerve to charge so much money. It's not like you're lying on some famous mattress. It's very family-friendly and the hotel rules were not explained specifically upon check-in. Great! If I stay here again in my life, I will change my surname to a Japanese one. The attached photos are of the old public washing machine room in the hotel and the cupboard panel in the room which had fallen off due to disrepair for some reason. There was dust all over the place and a pair of hotel slippers which were not used for who knows how long. It seemed that the housekeeping and the hotel had no intention of repairing it. They just screwed it shut, even though the cupboard panel had fallen off before I checked in. Finally, add a few inexplicable places: 1. I checked into a family room for 5 people, but only one room card was given to me. Yes, 5 people checked in, but only one room card was given to me. I was so confused that I asked the hotel counter, but the counter was firm and decisive that one card was enough. 2. There is no phone in the room, so you can't call the front desk to report anything. You have to go down to the first floor in person to handle everything. 3. Even if you stay for several days in a row, there is no room service. You have to put your towels in a plastic bag outside the room and they will be replaced the next day.
