Bari Kothi Heritage Hotel

An exquisite experience curated by Team Bari Kothi with love and care. Amidst a backdrop of medieval history, you’re pampered in modern comfort. Loved the house, the sprawling terrace and passages. Full marks to Abhirup, Kishor and all the ladies Mita, Sandhya etc for taking care of us so personally. Food menu is special but can even be more healthy and innovative. Breakfast by the flowing Ganga is extremely serene.

A lovely long weekend spent with family in peaceful riverside heritage property rich in history and hosted by a team who treat you as family with complete warmth and care. We had come with our 6 year old who just had a lovely time through out the stay busy going around the property and enjoying all the activities thanks to the team who were always attentive to guests safety and needs. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with modern facilities for ones comfort. I recommend taking the 2 night package in which one needs to just relax the property team will coordinate plan and execute everything to perfection customised to your personal needs. This is not a 5 star hotel its a place with a unique offering where you get a chance to live history and experience Seherwali Jain culture and food. The food is just amazing.. hygenic healthy and unending!! Heritage walk and sightseing, Riverside breakfast, evening Boul music, boat ride at sunset.. but the high point of the stay will be the care and warmth with which the host and team treat you. Thanks again Abhirup, Kishore, and everyone else. Special mention to Madhumita who took such affectionate care of and became close friends with our baby Manaswi.

The entrance to the property is through an extremely narrow lane which makes you feel your car just may not pass through, but it it does and you look at a large wooden doorway and you may just feel a tad let down. But... But, when you enter the whole scenario changes, you're welcomed with a traditional Arti and tika and then you look around and get mesmerized with the chandeliers and the plush antique sofas where you sit down and have a refreshing nimbu pani while Abhirup gives you a short history of the place. the beauty continues into the courtyard and once we entered our room it was just visually stunning! Extremely old world, beautifully collected antiques and filled with a nostalgic old world charm! We were assigned a group of extremely attentive and kind hearted individuals who looked after our every need and actually made every wish their command and fulfilled them! What struck me was the level of individual attention paid to guests and the way they make you feel at home, whether cajoling you to try and eat a little more, or just the way they look after you. It just did not feel like a hotel but an extension of home with family members there to pamper you!! The Baul singers in the evening were enchanting to say the least! We have in our numerous travels across the country and outside stayed in many star hotels but they need to learn about hospitality from this team!! Thank you team Bari Kothi for an extremely memorable stay!! Special mention to Abhirup, Sandhya, Popy, Kishor, Chaitali and more who's names I unfortunately cannot remember!

Not a value for the money . Room rent is at par to the good five star hotel but the stay doesn't feel that way . Meals are exorbitantly priced . Nothing special. Yes , staff is very courteous. They are all locals and dedicated to their work and took good care .

Excellent property. Delicious & mouth-watering food. Special thanks to all the courteous, humble, well mannered staff members. Right from check-in to our stay to the meals to the check-out is an absolutely smooth journey. It is a wonderful experience.

The experience of the Bari Kothi is best described as serene. The property is mesmerising , beautifully restored, holding its history and culture close to its core. Abhirup , Bikram, and Chaitali always welcomed us with their warm smiles at each time of the day we met. They made the stay truly memorable with their sweet gestures and caring demeanour. Later, Kishore da with his stories of restoration took us a trip to the past, making us feel awestruck. The Baul geet in the evening was like adding cherry to the cake. To say the least , our stay was beautiful and truly one of the best experiences we had.
