Hotel Luruna Palacio Larrinaga

This is an amazing hotel. It has been renovated to an incredibly high standard. The rooms are well furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom has some of the best towels I have come across in a hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff made us feel so welcome and were super helpful. Our waitress at diner was so lovely. The food was amazing, the quality and the presentation were first class. Don’t eat too much too early in breakfast as choices kept coming and were freshly cooked. It was a wonderful experience and comes highly recommended.

Decidimos pasar las vacaciones en Mundaka y ver la zona de Urdaibai. Mirando en Internet decidimos alojarnos en el hotel Luruna. Decisión perfecta. Nuevo, moderno, elegante, lujo sin perder ese grado acogedor, que hace que te sientas cómo en casa. El aire acondicionado en todo el hotel es perfecto. Las habitaciones, son cómodas y elegantes. La cama excelente. El aparcamiento privado del hotel , imprescindible en la zona. El bar nos encantó. Lo mismo se puede pedir un pintxo que un cóctel. La terraza preciosa. Para terminar ,el personal consiguió que todo ésto fuera una experiencia que por nuestra parte, se repetirá seguro.

Hotel Luruna Palacio Larrinaga is reasonably new. It has an old façade but modern & contemporary interior. Its decoration is both tasteful and functional. Our room is not big but spotless. The bed is very comfortable. Bath towels are of high quality. The shower is not powerful rather gentle. The hotel has its own restaurant, which offers both tapas and cooked meals. We enjoyed both during our 3 nights stay. Luruna Palacio has its own secured car park which is part of the reason why we decided to stay here. There is also a public bus to Bilbao just outside the hotel. Although we had a hired car, but driving in Spain for a foreigner (from a country with vast land not many people) is not all that fun, besides the difficulty in finding a car park. So we used the bus to Bilbao, no stress, fantastic. No hotels can be great without their staff. The staff of this hotel are exceptional. From the reception to the restaurant, everyone is friendly & helpful. We were greeted by every staff with a smile. Our big thanks to the lovely Itsasu. She’s often above and beyond her duty helping her guests, she’s a real asset to the hotel. Itsasu made our stay extra special. Big kisses & hugs from Australia :)
