It was my fault for not checking enough, but there is a hotel in the post-departure area.
I arrived late at night and was unable to find it, losing the entire hotel fee. I ended up spending the night on an airport bench.
I don't think it's a good idea to use this hotel on your first visit to Brunei. It's in a special location and it's a staff-less hotel.
I provided information about my arrival and departure flights several times in advance when making the reservation, so I feel it's unkind that they didn't point out anything to me. It's such a shame. I'm grateful to the airport staff and immigration for trying so hard to help me out.

I stayed at Nest Dayrooms for one night during a transit at Brunei Airport. The location in the departure terminal is very convenient.
While the room looked nice initially, the experience was disappointing. The toilet was dirty, the toilet paper was moldy, and there was no shower curtain for the bathtub, leaving the floor soaked after a shower. The toiletries were confusing—one bottle was full, the other empty, making it unclear if they were separate products or "2-in-1."
Great location, but poor hygiene and maintenance made the stay uncomfortable.
