Bahrain Airport Hotel Airside Hotel for Transiting and Departing Passengers Only

This hotel is right in the airport and across from some gates. It is perfect for a long layover. It was easy to find and easy to check in. The room itself was comfortable and I would stay here again if I have a night layover.

The hotel was extremely clean and modern, definitely worth it, however the service is non existent. I am from the UK and booked this hotel for a transiting flight, on the hotel website I was able to book the exact times I required the room (hour by hour) and on trip.com It was the standard check-in 2pm and exit 12pm the next day which does not work. After booking I emailed the hotel twice with no response to date and it’s been 3 weeks. When arriving at the hotel I had to wait 5 hours before I could have access to my room and I only stayed until my flight departure time which was a total of 10 hours out of the 22 hours which the room was booked for. In this case, not value for money. The service needs to improve, either have an instant chat or respond to email in a timely manner. There is a premium number which I did not ring since it would have cost a fortune!

DISASTER. I can count on ONE hand the amount of reviews I have left in my life, but I am so furious I have gone out of my way to make sure I can leave this review for EVERYONE to see and AVOID AVOID AVOID staying here. LET'S FORGET that the television does not work. Forget the remote is broken. Forget that there are wall panels missing (room 218). You can overlook these things and say the rate is not bad and you are desperate for a place to sleep so you book the room anyway. Then you discover that you want to talk to a manager, but they are not available. You find that you are woken up 4+ times because of staff having the chat of their lives outside your room door and you ask them to kindly chat somewhere else because you need to sleep. It was just a complete disaster. ZERO rest achieved. The consistent and inconsiderate talking outside the room door is made even worse by the complete lack of noise isolation in the rooms you can hear every little detail about what the people in the rooms next to you on either side are doing. It is astonishing. I will say that the front desk staff really did what they could to help and were very polite and understanding about my grievances/concerns, but the experience is not reparable. The experience was so bad you are tempted to book another room through another booking portal just so you can spread the message of how terrible this experience is on as many platforms as possible. Ruining traveller rest is a fascinating business model for an airport transit hotel. Given how small Bahrain is, you are better off getting a hotel room as close as you can to the airport and avoiding this one in the terminal all together. Just MISERABLE.
