Msambweni Beach House

The service at Msambweni was exceptional. For the first time in my life, I was ushered out of a hotel with song. On arrival, I was received into the hotel with a cool refreshing welcome drink and a lei. Thereafter, Okello the room attendant, Bonnie at the restaurant, Bokari at the beach, Chelsea at the reception/concierge, and George the duty manager, all went out of their way to ensure that I had a memorable stay. Yvonne at the restaurant has the sweetest spirit ever! These are just the people I could remember by name. The others were just as exceptional. This is one holiday I’ll remember for many years to come.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at Msambweni Beach House, at Private Villa 1. What we wanted to achieve was a peaceful quiet retreat for a few days, absorbing the sights, smells and sounds of the Swahili coast from the comfort of a luxurious clean beach house with a private pool that can be used all day, combined with good local food, a massage or two, and having the opportunity to learn about the local community in this part of Kenya. Within this scope, Msawbeni Beach House delivered an incredible and superb experience across ALL fronts ! The location is cut-off from busy city centres and there are few (if any) distractions. You can walk on the beach during low tide, or swim during high tide, or just spend as much time as you want in the large private pools or the shared huge pool. The water (and everything else!) is immacutely clean. The food was simply amazing - varied everyday - and a full board service! However, the standout feature is the staff - not just friendly - but super professional and committed to making your stay the most memorable and pleasant it can be. This has made all the difference for us, and a huge shout-out and thanks to all the staff at Msambweni Beach House!!!! What is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (like everyone else is saying) is the village tour. This is not a tourist trap. It is not a manafuctured experience. The Beach House is part of the community and organises these tours to have a real glimpse into the daily lives of the local community. We visited a couple of schools and the village core, and met with a lot of people who despite facing their difficulties, live a fulfilled life surrounded by community, love and family.

Fantastic four days stay in villa number 1, a paradise with an unique and private swimming pool and a great Ocean view. Friendly and professional service from all straff members, in addition we both had wonderful massage. Biking arround in the village was also a very interesting experience. Aase and Peter.
