Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rang us in advance to help with an early check in for a wedding. Very handy if at at wedding in the old rectory. Also catered for gluten free at breakfast which was lovely. Would definitely go back in future

I contacted the owner in February to hire the entire property for a Hen Party. She was so lovely and accommodating on the phone and talked me through how the booking worked. Also helped organise food which was great because I was not from the area so didn’t know where to go! Coming up to the Hen, it was very easy to communicate with her via text and when I arrived on the day to start setting up decorations she walked me through the entire house to make sure everything was ok and showed me where everything was. We had a group of girls staying and the house was absolutely perfect! We had our activities in the main room which had plenty of room for all, we ate in the dining room which was brilliant and had the whole use of the kitchen for drinks, ice, heating up food etc. The courtyard was lovely to sit out in. The hot tub was such a great addition to the night also!! It is enclosed so you don’t need to worry about if it’s raining, you can still enjoy an evening relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and toilet facilities were clean. The house was full of beautiful antiques and paintings. The house was also a 10 second walk to Tomneys pub which was brilliant! So easy to get back home after our night out! I would recommend booking this property 100 times over to anybody for any occasion. It just made our party! If you’re thinking about booking, you won’t regret it

Beautiful place to stay. I would fully recommend it .very comfortable and relaxing experience and was made all the better by the warm welcome by host Julianne , we enjoyed just chilling out in the court yard and taking life easy . Decor was fab

Suitable for an overnight stay. Comfortable rooms. Parking was available but not during busy periods. Breakfast was sufficient.

Where do I even start!!!! This place is a must see, must visit. I booked our weddingreception in a bar Tomneys next door to this venue. (it was amazing also) I wanted somewhere to rest my head the night before the wedding near by as opposed to the traditional means of going from home on the morning of the wedding . Never in a million years did I realise I had found a true hidden gem. Julie Ann the proprietor went above and beyond in every which way to help me both prior to my wedding and the morning of the wedding. She is an angel or as I refer to my 'wedding fairy' . As well as the perfect hostess the actual venue is just stunning. It is bursting with character. Every inch is steeped with beautuful ornate furniture and decor. What beautiful gardens too!!! It has its own secret garden. My wedding prep photos turned out to be amazing, far beyond my expectations. Julie Ann thought of everything even by lighting the fire to create a nice atmosphere! I was able to get my makeup and hair done in the venue also. Everything was just so relaxed. The rooms made a beautiful backdrop for my photos. The actual room I stayed in was stunning (I didnt want to leave) and the breakfast again no faults whatsoever. Efficient and of very high standard. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. I had family and friends stay the night of the wedding and even they were blown away by the surroundings. I would not change one thing about my wedding. Be sure if you are looking for a venue for a special occasion be it a birthday party, anniversary, christening etc you must look into this place. It lended itself very well to my wedding reception venue Tomneys. Again it is steeped in beautiful antique quirkiness. I looked far and wide for a wedding reception location. Infact at one point I had resigned to the fact I would not get married. I could not find what I was after. I didn't fancy the traditional formal hotel wedding I wanted something much more personal and informal. My wedding was large in size with almost 200 guests however had I have been having a smaller more intimate wedding I would most definately have booked the Charlemont. Its everything you could want in a venue!!! How can I forget to mention the hot tub too. Its just an added luxury. It just made the experience extra special the morning after the wedding. My husband and I chilled out in the hot tub with prosecco. The hot tub was spacious and private and such a treat!!! This little gem in Moy is amazing. Infact while sitting in the hot tub and beautiful rooms of the Charlemont it were as if we were on holidays. If you are looking a venue for a special occasion you must check this place out and dander down to another gem Tomneys Bar for a pint. Finish the experience off by visiting the quaint antiques shop next door. You will not be disappointed. Tatty and dusty … wallpaper pealing off the wall and ceiling .the beds were decent which was the only good point . A single sachet of coffee in a room sleeping 4 …. Oh how they spoil us!!! Breakfast was poor too. Very small portions. Would not return
