First time to visit the Istion Hotel and I will definitely return. From check in we had such a great experience, no hassle easy transaction, we originally had a room at the reception and asked would it be possible to move a little closer to the ocean,and without hassle we were accommodated. The receptionist Kiki is such a bonus to the hotel so polite as with many other staff members, like vivikar(probably spelt wrong) who works in the restaurant, another huge bonus to the hotel,along with the Manager such politeness goes along way. Our new room allocation really made our break special as we could see the ocean a lovely bright and airy room(405). The beach is small and quaint with a limited amount of loungers, but uf you have sensitive feet I suggest swin shoes. The food and cleanliness of hotel is second to none,everywhere is absolutely spotless, I would suggest visiting afytos a stunning little village,the hotel runs a bus to there on Tuesdays at 9 and pick up 12,if that is not enough time for you to explore ,a taxi will cost roughly €30 back to the hotel. Another huge bonus for us was the beautiful resident cat and her kitten such beauties. This hotel in my opinion has 90% german occupancy, but with us being Irish ,we had no language barriers or issues ,everyone just enjoying there little break. They also run a children's club,which all the little children seemed to have enjoyed,we no small children with us,so cannot give more information . Sunsets are absolutely Amazing. My overall opinion is come a visit this gem of a hotel.

The resort has stunning architecture and landscapes, along with all the amenities you could need: a spa, swimming pool, multiple bars, a restaurant, and a mini market. Everything was impeccably maintained, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach in front of the hotel was nice, though not the best Chalkidiki has to offer. However, the resort’s location made it easy to reach the best beaches on the first and second 'legs' of Chalkidiki within a 30-minute drive. I can 100% recommend this please whether you’re looking to enjoy the all-inclusive resort or explore what Chalkidiki has to offer.

We stayed in Istion club and spa from 1 till 7 of july. The hotel was very beautiful and clean. Our room was lovely and big for the 3 of uss. The hotel has nice swimming pools, a playgarden for children and a mini club for children. The food at the restaurant was delicious, we had breakfast and evening dinner. The people who work there are such nice people very friendly. The service great. The staff from the restaurant were great, so nice and have a good sence of humor. It was a plesure to know them: Angelina Kostas Anastasia Mary and Vasilis thank you for the great service and the nice talks. U made are vacation more fun. And the ladies from the desk and the cleaning ladies and gentlemans that take care of the garden, they wore also very kind! I would defently recommend this hotel!!

Excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful personnel, special kudos to animators, who will never get you bored, spa, bar and restaurant team, front office, room attendants, gardeners that are keeping the territory full of flowers. Everything was spotless: from the room, it's facilities to food and service. The hotel located within only half an hour drive from Thessaloniki, which we found very convenient, as it doesn't take a long time from airport, and on the other hand, there were no city hustle, feels like countryside serenity, where you can leave behind the noise and rushing atmosphere, like in most of others popular greek resorts. There's fabulous spa center, where you can indulge in a variety of treatments. At the restaurant always good variety of tasty fish, seafood, meat and desserts are definitely something special. There's also small shop in the property, where you can buy nice souvenirs for your loved ones. Thank you, Istion for hospitality and giving us a great memories !

Nice hotel, bit boring not alot to do other than sleep and get sun. You can't even go out for a walk as you are on a main road. The website is deceiving The shuttle into town is a nice add on but my god the town is old,dirty and quiet.my opnion wrong village. If your looking for liveliness go to more of a touristy place. There is also no english we were the only two there. Entertainment needs improvement. If it rains you really are screwed. We flew home 3 days early due to boredom.

This was really a 5 star resort!!! Everything was perfect (food, staff (Especially Anastasia and Fotini who arranged a shuttle to Afitos) animationteam,cleaners and gardeners. Many thanks for this great holliday!!!

Our stay at the Istion Club was a last minute booking and we didn’t have high expectations. We choose the destination because we particularly wanted to visit the historic city of Thessaloniki We arrived late at night and were allocated a suite consisting of, bedroom, sitting room,bathroom and a balcony. Very spacious and spotlessly clean. Despite it being towards the end of the season the staff were unfailingly courteous, helpful and accommodating. The staff at the reception were especially responsive.The rooms were kept immaculately clean and the gardens and landscaping were a pleasure to see. The buffet breakfast was more than sufficient but the evening meal buffet was not inspiring and seemed to be rather disjointed. Having said that, there was always plenty and excellent choices for vegetarians . We wish to particularly mention Evangelia the Reservations Manager who ironed out the initial problems that we had had due to our very late arrival at the resort.

Very friendly stuff, great food with many selections in the buffet, even for my wife who is a vegan. The kid enjoyed the 3 pools and the playground. We had the all inclusive package which I recommend because it also included sandwitches between meals. The bars were great and the bartenders very professional. The animation team was very friendly all day. I loved the water aerobics :-) Unfortunately the check out time was 12:00pm but they told us that that's a general rule in Greece. The person in the reception though did offer late check-out to us after request. We were lucky because the room was free afterwards. We will try to visit again

This is our last day in Istion in general hotel is ok no major downside but there are some points we did not like it. Let me first mention on the positives: Hotel employees: we have really good experience with them, they are very kind helpful and respectful. Beach: It is not maybe nicest beach but it is clean, it is not crowded but you have to go early to grab a sunbed. Overall cleanness: it is satisfactory. Also there was a nice suprise on my wifes birthday they put a cake for us. A nice gesture from the hotel. Negatives (lets say according to our view we do not like ) Rooms : first day we were given a ground floor room which has not enough light and no wifi at all luckly hotel management change our room next day but then we have ac problem couple of days then they fix it and wifi was again troublesome in some hours , I believe it is related with usage but you should not have such things in 5 star hotel. Location: Hotel is isolated you have no public transportatition to near villages you should take taxi all the time. This is ok for some people stay all the time in hotel but we really enjoy to go sometimes local restaurant and near hotel there is nothing like this. Food: Mediocre, I saw earlier comments from Hotel manager but I have different opinion after couple of days all food seemed to me redundant, still you will find some thing to eat but do not expect much. All in all according to my view hotel is ok but I would give 3 or 4 stars as a ranking. Frankly as our first holiday in Greece we have expected a bit more.
