Daffodale House B&B

Wow!! What a cool place we found by accident. Definitely going back. My husband and I truly enjoyed the whole experience. Our room was very comfortable and the food was delicious. We found out that guests can even come for “Tea” or a meal without having to spend the night. Everything is just as it looks online, which is a nice change. Cathy and Scott were very gracious and entertaining. Thank you for sharing your amazing home.

My husband and I were looking for a unique place for our first night away from home with our 3 month old. We certainly found it in the Daffodale house! We stayed in Safari Room and our bed was SO comfortable! The breakfast was as amazing as the bed. This B&B has its priorities straight! The hosts are amazing. Kathy welcomed us warmly, prepared an amazing dinner complete with homemade bread, and cooked a fabulous breakfast with the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. After dinner Scott showed us his eclectic mix of treasures and told some great stories! We were sad to go but are already looking forward to coming back! We can’t recommend this place enough! It’s not just a place to stay the night, it’s a complete experience!

Scotty and Cathy are warm and helpful hosts. We had a great time with them even though we were only there for one night. It’s a big ol’ Victorian style house which has been decorated to within an inch of its life. I can only imagine how fun it was to raid flea markets and antique shops. We had other plans for dinner so I can’t comment on the food. I like that they use lovely old china and glassware on cloth covered tables, even for breakfast. Scott is quite a character. We had a great time with him. We hope to visit again if we are in the area.

Great time and super interesting place. The hosts were a lot of fun and very interesting. Had a great time. Thank you for being so accomodating! Super comfortable bed, great shower pressure, alllll good. Will be back soon no doubt. Ghost tour next time.

The owners Scottie and Cathy quickly made us feel like we were truly staying with family - with warm welcomes, home-cooked meals, and inviting stories. My son and I traveled to Florida for a quick getaway from Atlanta. The place was so much more than we expected - it is a delightful collection of antiques, spirits, and stories galore. Scottie and Cathy went out of their way to make us feel like we were visiting our favorite Aunt and Uncle. We wandered around a state park together, sat on rocking chairs on the front porch, exchanged silly anecdotes, cracked jokes, and shared delicious desserts. It was a home away from home that we did not know we were missing. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed here after visiting the little town. The host and hostess (Cathy and Scott) were very friendly. We didn't do the ghost tour this time but I can't wait to go back for that. Breakfast was amazing and Scott sat and told us amazing stories. They truly made our stay an wonderful experience and we cannot wait to stay again.

We stayed at the Daffodale House in March, and it was a charming and wonderful experience. Cathy and Scott are very sweet hosts and knowledgeable of the area if you're looking to learn more about Monticello. Scott will also regale you with a few exciting ghost stories. The house has a trove of treasures that Scott generously gave us a tour of and we loved to see them all. Not to mention, Cathy is an amazing cook. We requested a steak dinner the afternoon we arrived and the meal was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend you try it. Breakfast was equally delicious with a fresh fruit salad, eggs (made to order as you like), fantastic seared potatoes, and bread to side. Overall a great stay for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

This place was absolutely wonderful. Kathy and Scotty Are so welcoming, And scottie has some of the best stories ever. The beds were very comfortable We had the steak dinner and it was made perfectly. The tour that Scotty does is also very interesting and informative. I already have another reservation in June.

As the Daffodale House comes into view you know you have found something special. The host Scotty and Kathy make you feel right at home. After touring the wonderful town of Monticello, we were ready for a little bit of relaxation. After walking through the beautiful property, we had worked up a little appetite, we had chosen steak for dinner and we were not disappointed. Kathy is a wonderful cook. Scotty and thrilled us with his captivating stories of the house and his adventures. And gave us a wonderful tour of the house. After dinner, we went to relax on the gorgeous porch and met some of our fellow guests, who all were wonderful people. It was such a relaxing place by the end of the night you felt like you had friends instead of strangers. At the end of our evening, we went to our room for the night . I’m just gonna say the bed in the room was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We were lulled to sleep by a southern thunderstorm to end the perfect evening . When we woke the next morning and went downstairs, you could smell the enticing aroma of breakfast that was being made by Kathy and she can cook!! The next time you are traveling through or spending some time in the area, please spend some time at The Daffodale House! Thank you, Scotty and Kathy for a wonderful time. Barbie
