Amalú Monteverde

What a beautiful hidden gem! Amazing view of the mountains surrounded by so much nature. We were able to see a Tucan and Lapa Verdes right from the terrace. We absolutely loved it and hoping to come back again next time. Thank you to Andres and Mariela for a their great hospitality and all the amenities provided! It was a perfect getaway from everything! Our family of four booked the A-Frame last minute after issues with our Airbnb, and it was the best decision ever! This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed at, and we would recommend it 100%. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, spacious, and had tons of little touches that made it so lovely. From the complimentary snacks and drinks, dehumidifiers (essential when dealing with the intense humidity), a record player, slippers and bathrobes, and exercise equipment (yoga mat, light weights), everything was so thoughtfully curated. Having two bathrooms was essential (one full, one with just a toilet), and the water in the shower was also nice and hot (pretty rare in Costa Rica). The hot tub was lovely to relax in after a long day of hiking and the view was absolutely incredible! The team made sure to check in with us, and answer any questions asap. There was an issue with the electricity and they not only called us to let us know, they kept us updated and it was fixed within a few hours. We do not want to leave here and wish we could stay longer, and we would 100% recommend Amalu to everyone!

The Tiny House far outweighed our expectations. Between the lush jungle setting and the amazing architecture with windows everywhere, we felt like we were in cloud forest paradise. The fireplace is cozy on cold evenings and the rain pattering the roof adds to the ambiance. Birdsong in the morning is an unexpected delight. We even saw toucans in the trees overhead! With the tall windows it feels like you're perched in the canopy. A monkey visited the tree by the entrance twice and looked in at us through the window with great curiosity. Everything about the Amalú Tiny House screams luxury. (The entire property feels luxurious, in fact.) We hope to return!

Incredible property and views. Very clean and had our own private entrance. The views were unparalleled. They even had a projector screen to watch movie and a jacuzzi on the secluded patio area. By far the best place we stayed at in Costa Rica.

This place is absolutely amazing. The view is jaw dropping. Secluded, spotless, pure nature. We even got some ingredient to prepare breakfast. All you need is available onsite including coffee machine, yoga mat and other. Highly recommended.

The view was breathtaking. There was a tucan in the tree every morning just outside our window when we woke. The cabin was nicely appointed. The location was great. We were in glass cabin one. Steep walk from cabin to parking lot. Definitely need 4wheel drive vehicle.
