Amazing experience near the city; honestly could not be better. The castle is superb We spent two nights and it was the perfect amount of time to disconnect during the weekend. The only thing I would improve is the organization of the "bar" that was "open" but completely empty and no one was there to give information about

We had a rotating party of 13-14 guests for the better part of a week. Staying in a 1000 year old castle/fortress with all the current bells, whistles and service was amazing! Food, spa, pools, panoramic bubbly mineral tubs and sauna, and 8 dramatic weddings to entertain the grand-daughters kept us busy between trips into Turin and Cherri! Wonderful memories were made!

We have just had an amazing meal at Restaurant Crotin. We were greeted by an extremely polite and very professional young man called Abdul. We asked for his advice in choosing the best wine to go with our meal and he was extremely knowledgeable and suggested wine that went perfectly. I’m English and although I’ve lived in Italy for 10 years I sometimes struggle with the language, our waiter was very polite and patient, well mannered and professional at all times. He was very quick to take our order and our food arrived in no time at all. The quality of the food in this restaurant is top notch!! I’ve just had the Plin, the sea bass and the pears in wine for desert. All absolutely amazing. A very high end luxury restaurant with great staff. A real asset to the hotel ‘Castello Montaldo’.

We spent 4 nights in the hotel. Upon arrival, you will find out that the parking lot and the reception are quite far from each other and no one will help you with your suitcases. We were warmly welcomed at the reception and we were given a free upgrade to a suite, which pleased us, but the room was not much. Although the room was very spacious, the equipment was really outdated and not in good condition. The whirlpool in the room was moldy, there was a lack of towels in the room and they were not replenished at the back. On the penultimate day, no one even came to clean the room and change the towels The staff didn't speak much English, but some didn't speak Italian either. The breakfast was very average, rather bad, the coffee never arrived. The indoor pool was very small and there were no hand pools available. no one was available to help you. The outdoor spa was nice. If you wanted to order a drink by the outdoor pool, it was very difficult to get a waiter. The same waiter then served dinners. we had the feeling that he is the only waiter in the whole hotel. We will definitely not return to the hotel, we were really disappointed. What's good - location - 20 minutes by car to Turin.

Castello di Montaldo is a lovely place to spend a weekend with the family, but my stay was ruined by the masseur at the spa. Totally unprofessional, when I arrived for my appointment he was watching a tennis match on his phone and didn't turn it off. I had booked a 25min back and leg massage but the masseur spent most of the time massaging my buttocks which made me extremely uncomfortable. The massage lasted 40min instead of 25min (he took his time...) but it didn't relax me at all. The masseur's name was Pier, don't book anything with him !!!!

One has to be aware to stay in a building that is not less than 1000 years old(!). However, none of the things that make a stay incredibly beautiful is missing. We enjoyed every second, from dawn ‘til dusk and from dusk ‘til dawn. It starts with a nice breakfast where …(her name follows – I can’t find the piece of paper, where it is written… ;-) …) serves an excellent Italian coffee. During the day, the Piemonte region invites for activities and the nearby city of Torino wants to be explored. The hotel’s restaurant is formidable, and the spa area is state-of-the-art (one of the highlights: outdoor sauna with a window, overseeing the landscape and furnished with a real wood oven) – with excellent treatments (specifically to mention: massages by Michela and Enzo). If something shall be corrected or if there is a question, the reception desk is always there with extremely nice staff.

Sono stato con un gruppo di amici che sono venuti con me. Io ci ero già stato ed è per quello che li ho portati; sono rimasti tutti a bocca aperta e dico sul serio, tra l'altro le luci, in atmosfera di Natale si addicono a quel castello come la classica ciliegina sulla torta. Aperitivo mangereccio letteralmente gigantesco con un vero drink a scelta a testa. Poi abbiamo fatto il percorso emozionale dove l addetta ci ha spiegato tutto nei minimi dettagli ed è stata veramente un'esperienza unica accompagnata poi al lungo momento di relax in una sala apposita cullati dal suono delle campane tibetane. Lo consiglio veramente e vi do la mia parola che ne vale la pena. Parcheggio gratuito senza limiti A tre passi dal castello

Una giornata in un castello affascinante... Bell'atmosfera , ottima accoglienza, relax e il percorso guidato di Enzo una vera scoperta.. Finalmente una sauna e un bagno turco da manuale... Le campane tibetane.. e che dire delle tinozze all'esterno!! Consigliatissimo!

Con la mia compagna abbiamo usufruito del pacchetto Romantic Escape con la Suite romantica: esperienza stupenda!! Location bellissima, il castello è molto bello, tenuto bene e molto curato. La camera è molto spaziosa, arredata con gusto, con grande bagno con Jacuzzi , silenziosa e molto pulita. La cena è nel crotin del castello, ristorante non tanto grande ma molto carino, il cibo è ottimo e abbondante, da amante del vitello tonnato ne sono rimasto particolarmente soddisfatto!!! Ottima e abbondante anche la colazione, sia dolce che salata. La spa non è grandissima, ma il Percorso sensoriale e il massaggio , grazie al personale, ci sono piaciuti molto. Il personale appunto....molto gentile, simpatico e disponibile; un grazie a tutti, dalla reception al ristorante, alla sala colazioni, alla spa. Personalmente abbiamo apprezzato molto la meravigliosa location di alta qualità ma in un ambiente quasi familiare
