Club Med Les Deux Alpes

My Family of 8 (including myself) have just finished a late season Skiing holiday here - & honestly after reading these other reviews i'm a little shocked. The staff were all absolutely lovely & we tried our best to speak French & they appreciated that to no end & met us in the middle with their English. The rooms are small, but we wanted cheap, and thats what we got - food was always nice, not always piping hot but idk what you all expect from a buffet dinner - there was always plenty to choose from & if you use your imagination a bit you can create some lovely dinners from what’s provided - The evening entertainment was certainly always entertaining & the bar staff were just so lovely & polite - everyone has bad days so I think youd be silly to expect animated greetings & farewells every single day - The town is not a far walk & there was a free bus service every 20 mins that goes from town right to the doorstep of the hotel - beware with this bus though during ski hours it does get pretty rammed. Overall we have had an amazing time & we will be visiting again in the new year when the snow is hopefully more abundant 🥰 They even brought my Dad a Birthday cake - turned out the lights in the restaurant (probably annoying for everyone else ! ) and sang him happy birthday even used his name & asked which cake he would prefer ! Just Brilliant !

Just got back from staying a week in the village club du soleil les 2 Alpes. Pros: Beautiful views of the mountains. Good evening entertainment in the hotel. The hotel has a skiing rental available and a locker for your boots and skis to dry them over night. Cons: Rooms are dated and are only cleaned once in a week. Reception staff are quite rude. There is no luggage holder facilities and we were getting picked up for the airport at 6pm and had nowhere to leave our luggage. The bus route is available to take you down and back up to the hotel down to the main square but the last bus to come back is at 19:55. Food: Food at the hotel was ok. They have different options. The fajita night was nice. Your sure to down something that you like there. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again as it is a little out of the way and a little dirty.

We left the hotel with a mixed feeling. The rooms are really small, but you don't need much when skiing all day. The buffet was huge and diverse, but the quality was average. The hot dishes were often cold, but you have the pizza guy delivering some hot pizza's every minute. There was plenty of room to eat, but the plates were often still wet or even dirty. You have a ski lift 2 minutes away, but we waited for one hour to get a ski pass. The service is great, really nice and helpful people. But there are only 2 to 3 people at the desk, which is not enough when you see the number of guests in the hotel. So you can expect to be waiting for a long time to check in or out. So it was a mixed bag. If you're here just to ski and sleep, you don't need to much luxury and you're not looking for a fancy place to eat, then you're at the right address. Otherwise, I would look for something else. Just one last thing, the ski slopes are great. But the infrastructure (ski lifts) is not built for the amount of people residing in the village. So waiting for 45 minutes or more to enter the lift was a daily thing for us.

Habitué au VCS de Montgenevre nous avons décidé de "monter en gamme" avec les 2 Alpes...grosse erreur.. Le prix des VCS a explosé en qjenques annees et il faut (surprise) rajouter 80€ de parking pour la semaine en arrivant, chambre basique, réception peu ouverte, personnel sympathiques et restauration correcte . Le point noir est l accès aux pistes...100m donc un escalier interminable pour les skieurs. Station très fréquentée même hors saison...nous n y retournerons pas.

Nous sommes partis en famille première semaine de vacances, pour les parisiens, en février 2019. Dans cette ancien Club Med que VCS a repris, nous avons passé une semaine au top. Un grand merci à Thomas et toute son équipe pour l’accueil, l’organisation et l’animation. Ils se sont donnés du mal et cela se voit. Les plus de ce site : Un parking gratuit et couvert sous le bâtiment. Des clubs enfants avec un accueil dès 3 mois. Les encadrants sont choux et souriants que du bonheur pour se libérer de nos petits mais aussi des grands …. Sans trop culpabiliser….. La location des skis sur place, là encore avec des sourires et du matériel plutôt sympa. Une restauration efficace avec de la super viande le midi. On a même eu droit à deux barbecues au soleil sur la terrasse de 180 places et même un mini concert avec trois musiciens … Un accès rapide à toute la station avec une navette gratuite qui s’arrête devant le bâtiment. Les pistes pour les très débutants sont en bas des pistes. Avec une remontée gratuite et des pistes de luges. Sinon le départ des pistes est à 100m avec un escalier en guise d’échauffement. Et un retour possible au bâtiment en skis. Des animations le soir façon Club Med très sympa (La reine des Neiges en particulier). Une piscine découverte à 100 m. On se baigne au milieu de la neige et des montagnes. Possible de se fournir en serviette et maillot à l’accueil de la piscine, si besoin. Les moins : Des chambres microscopiques avec une télé mal située qui fait mal aux reins. Ceux qui connaissent souriront, avec un ménage fait une fois dans la semaine. Des moquettes pas nickel et des couverts pas trop propres au restaurant. Un local à skis mal foutu, avec un grand bazar garanti le matin. Mettez votre casque et gaffe aux coups de skis. Au final des détails.

Très bon séjour passé au VCS Les 2 Alpes. Super équipe animation : enfant et adulte. Les repas étaient bons. Problème de chambres à notre arrivée, la chambre n'était pas communicante avec celle des enfants, pb résolu très rapidement. Seul bémol : parking payant dans la station depuis cette année 80€, il devrait y avoir un tarif pour ceux qui ont réservé via un centre de vacances...
