Hotel Christof

This hotel is a convenient stop between tourist destinations, and it’s very close to Lake Braies. The breakfast had plenty of healthy options with high-quality ingredients.

I am uncertain about where to start, but I must say that this hotel has one of the best ambiance and atmosphere. The entire staff is extremely friendly and their evident happiness is crucial. Harold and Ivan are always prepared to assist and provide exceptional service. The dinner and breakfast are absolutely delicious. I'm not sure who the chef is, but they are definitely a keeper. 😉Overall, the details are unique and well thought out, which further demonstrates the superiority of family-owned hotels over large corporate chains. I hope we will back soon 🙃

Excellent, friendly staff, excellent food, great room.

The hotel has sufficient parking spaces (only one with a charging station). You have to be aware that you have to carry your luggage on some stairs to enter the building. The check-in procedure was quick and efficient, though we did not receive the card that allows to e.g. use a bus for free. That one, we only received next day from another person when we indicated we would need to use a bus to start our hike. The room itself is nice, something different compared to the typical hotel style. I certainly liked the balcony, with cosy seats. A bit unfortunate this was at the street side, hence no privacy at all. The room did not have a coffee machine, nor any iron(board). Another complaint is the very hard pillow. The hotel has as already mentioned its own style, and you will find a lot of ‘Christof says’ statements (sounds a bit like ‘Simon says’ in the movie Die Hard 😊). Be aware that you will receive an overload of emails when you register. It is tempting to register since you will receive a 50 Euro coupon (but it is not mentioned upfront that this voucher is only valid in case you book 3 nights). Christof also promotes the breakfast/diner formula, and it looks like this is the only option. It is not, we booked breakfast only. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The breakfast area is also cosy. Last remark is on the luggage: we left it in the hotel when we checked out, and picked it up when we returned in the later afternoon. The bags were still at exactly the same location as were we dropped them. This was an area that virtually anyone passing by could take them, I expected those would be stored in a locked area…

The small house manages to provide everything necessary at a very high level. Something that many larger and more expensive hotels fail to achieve. Very personal hotel. The attentive staff makes one feel welcome. Awesome, fresh and creative cuisine. Only downside: No extra towels in the sauna.

This was an amazing stay and worth every cent. Location is perfect and near the train station. Staff were lovely and helpful and arranged a bus pass. The food was amazing, buffet was plentiful and dinner was an exceptional price for 4 courses including local wines and ingredients. I wished I could stay longer. Spa and pool also not to be missed.
