Great hôtel, traditional, in a beautiful place. The lady at the reception was welcoming. The great breakfast was a plus. My room was small but nice, with a little terrace. I loved the rocking chair! But the frigde make SO MUCH NOISE, all night.

We loved our 1 night stay. I am so glad we decided to stay on “the rock” versus just visit for a few hours. We were able to walk the rock, have an aperitif overlooking the sea, enjoy our room with a balcony, and savor a great meal outside overlooking the sea. The hotel is nice / you are taken to your room by the front desk staff (note: leave your big suitcases in the car and only take a small bag because you need to walk quite a ways over cobblestone streets). Our room 8 had a lovely balcony and we slept with the windows open with the moonlight streaming in until the winds started in the early morning. It was interesting to see the juxtaposition between the calm seas in the afternoon and the white caps in the morning. I could sit all day and look at the mountains in the distance and the boats coming to the harbor and the sunrise and sunset. October was a great time too visit - not too hot and not a lot of tourists. Highly recommend!

The setting is unbelievable. Probably one of the breathtaking i have seen. Our room was spacious with a terrace facing the sea. The room was clean and cozy with 6 windows 2 facing the ocean. The service was exceptionally excellent and so personal. Especially Helena who was attentive to our needs and requests and really hoped that we enjoy ourselves. Please take into consideration the walk to the gate entrance and to the rooms. Strongly recommended the you announce that you have arrived and wait at the entrance for the porter.

Our room here had everything we needed, a comfy bed, powerful shower, air con, a fridge, a sitting area inside, a balcony with a wonderful view, loads of character and privacy. We loved our stay here and spent a an hour each evening watching the sun set from our balcony. We knew about the parking and the situation of the hotel (at the end of a long cobbled street) so no issues there. A great place to get a feeling of Monemvasia. Loved swimming off the rocks at the edge of the island. Breakfast was in a shady courtyard and had a good selection.

Quaint lodgings in the old Kastro. Beautifully decorated in traditional Greek style. Staff were not overly helpful but trumped by the spectacular view of the ocean and stunning surrounds. Tip: Bring luggage that can be dragged or carried over cobblestone streets.

Great experience staying in the castle. Very good breakfast with fresh orange juice and yummy lemonade. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel at home. The only negative point is parking in the summertime since there are no cars allowed in the castle.

This was our second stay at this lovely hotel. Can’t fault it at all. Room spotless with fantastic views and everything provided. Great breakfast which can be taken inside or outside in a pleasant courtyard. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was one of the most charming I've stayed in. While we had the budget room, it was only budget in physical footprint - everything else about the stay was wonderful. Breakfast included, lovely staff, so much charm and a cute little private terrace with sea views. The breakfast was so delicious and varied, like any large hotel. Absolutely recommend this hotel!

It has many positives. Mainly that it is located inside the castle walls so you are in the heart of the historic town. The staff are very friendly. The balcony was lovely and the view from it was very nice. And the wifi has high speed internet which was not expected at all. On the other hand the room was very small and not at best condition. It was not lacking anything major but it was just not the most comfortable, and the double bed was small and not very comfortable. Breakfast was also limited. The hotel is at the complete end of the main street of the castle town which is not a bad thing at all but if you have luggage the rocky street would be very tiring so you might need a porter. All over all it was very well matched with what we paid and what we needed in our first trip to Monemvasia. So it was a balanced good experience.
