Mondello Beach is absolutely stunning! The water was crystal clear, with no trace of the fishy smell you might expect from other coastal destinations like the Caribbean. Even the saltwater seemed different—gentler and less overpowering, making it a refreshing experience. What really stood out was the soft sand, which is rare for Mediterranean beaches. It reminded me of the powdery shores of the Bahamas, creating the perfect setting to relax and unwind. If you’re looking for a beautiful beach with clear water to swim in, Mondello is a must-visit!

We were so close to avoiding this beach completely after all the awful reviews. We ended up risking it and getting a taxi to the beach. I am SO glad we did. It was absolutely beautiful. The water was so clear and you could see so many cute lil fish! There are so many lovely places to eat, or even get a small snack and drink, and the prices are really good considering it’s a tourist area. My guess is that this is a great time to visit, and that mid summer is not! but if you are reading this thinking of whether to go early october… yes yes yes!!

it's a lovely beach. Maybe because it was late September there were less people vying for space but I don't recognise many of the negative reviews at all. The sand was clean, the water was lovely and turquoise, there was lots of room on the free area, plenty of parking a couple of streets back from the beach (a five minute slow walk).

This was a first rate experience from start to finish. The place is immaculate, the beds are very comfortable and the views are outstanding. The staff is the best (shout out to Ivan and Judith). It's situated within the grounds of a swim club, so there are a lot of options--pool, the sea, or just lounging (which we did a lot of). There's also a small cafe on the grounds and free parking.

Having been many places in Italy, Mondello is bit of a tourist trap. The most beautiful scenery somewhat destroyed by not the best of italian tourists & inhabitants. Garbage all over, street sellers and restaurants yelling at most corners, very high prices for low quality experiences and a general non-inclusive offensive behavior. Do not travel here and expect the traditional Italian atmosphere, hospitality and great Italian food experiences.

Having just gotten engaged we wanted to explore a little. We were so pleased to stumble upon Mondello beach. It was fantastic. The burger restaurant needs to sort some of its miserable waiters out but other than that the location is fantastic.

Reminds me the worst places in Alanya Turkey 15 years ago. Do not travel here and expect the traditional Italian atmosphere, hospitality and great Italian food experiences.

Easily reached from Palermo by bus , Beautiful beach , gradual sloping water depth of the most beautiful azure blue, we paid on one of the lidos , not cheap cost 28 euro for two per day , public part of the beach was very narrow with a lot of beach vendors on it , worth a visit

The beach is beautiful, see-through and also there is lifeguards on duty ,not alot of space to put towel due to all sunbeds and unbrellas that are there which is an pity ,i enjoyed swimming here despite the crowds,think peak season will be really busy
