Hotel Best Indalo

Currently staying at the property and wanted to share a few observations. This is a SPANISH hotel which is part of a SPANISH group of hotels in SPAIN that mainly caters to SPANISH guests. As such - things are run to Spanish time… Breakfast doesn’t start till 8am lunch is at 1.00pm and dinner service doesn’t start till 8pm. The pool is locked and gated until 10.30am with no access to sun loungers - there are plenty of brand new loungers so no need to queue up prior to this time. The animation is all in Spanish and the evening entertainment doesn’t start till around 10/10.30 - again only in Spanish UK travel firms do sell holidays here but we are not the target market, the Spanish are. Fair enough - we are in Spain after all! None of these things are an issue to me as I’ve stayed at other “Best” hotels in the group so all expected but some holiday makers could be put of by this. The hotel is nice, spotlessly clean with a beautiful new pool area. Food is basic with limited choices but always able to enjoy the meals. Location is great with a long promenade for walking and right on the beach. Hope this information is helpful!

I returned a few days ago from a 7 night stay. Went in May 2024 and loved it so much that my friend and I decided to return. I emailed the hotel to request the same 2 adjoining rooms and was informed that could not happen as the wing was closed. On the transfer coach our brilliant rep Angela advised that we were the first guests of the season because a new pool had been built in the garden that we had previously overlooked. To our delight we were given one of the rooms we had last year together with an adjoining one and far from being disappointed it was a wonderful surprise to have such a beautiful pool surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas spaciously set out. Last year we never used the pool as sunbeds were crammed on concrete round a small pool and we sunbathed in the garden area under trees. Obviously that has now gone but been replaced by a very much improved space. The staff were hardworking and as efficient and friendly as before with many familiar faces. Our rooms were as comfortable and roomy as before so no complaints except the inconsistency of the towels taken even though we left them hanging and didn't want them replaced so we could be eco friendly. It was no bother to get them replaced when the maid had not left enough though. The food was as good and plentiful as last year and we had no complaints. We were all inclusive but not being drinkers we normally only had one drink after dinner and it was a bit disconcerting one night to be asked to pay a 2 Euro supplement for an Aperol Spritz. We hadn't thought it was a brand. Our fault. Also I was charged a supplement for a Martini and I later discovered that it was actually stated on the bottom of the All Inclusive drinks menu as "Inc". These minor irritations did not spoil our holiday however and we will be returning to the Indalo in the future.
