Stayed for three nights whilst on vacation; reception was closed on arrival but they left instructions on how to find the room; the room was a good size, décor a little old fashioned but fine. The room had an effective but slightly noisy fridge. No complimentary water, but I was able to buy a bottle from the bar across the road just before they closed. The room had a great balcony with both chairs and loungers and offering great views out across the island to the sea below. The bed was a little squeaky, and there was no aircon in the room, but the height of the village and sea breeze meant it was not missed too much. WIFI was available, but only in the reception / lobby area and not in the room. Breakfast was very good with a nice range of continental options along with fresh fruit. The hotel is located centrally in the village with a couple of small supermarkets as well as some excellent walking trails nearby (I recommend the trail from San Andres thru Mocanal and on to the coast). In summery a fairly average hotel on the interesting, rugged and least touristy canary island, but given the handful of other hotel choices on El Hierro I would still recommend this hotel.
