Stunning location, can’t imagine how beautiful it will be when the main lodge renovation is complete. Our room was completely renovated, gorgeous and thoughtfully done. We had a spectacular view of the Colorado River and areas of Arches National Park along with the absolutely spectacular drive on the Scenic Bypass. 10 out of 10.

My husband and I loved this lodge and it’s going to get better with their new building. The drive there by the Colorado River is breathtaking. Staff was friendly and breakfast was very good. Room was excellent! Great shower and soft beds. Walk out to quiet of nature (except for the ac making noise). It’s two levels with a kitchenette

This is a tough one to rate. The positives: the location is jaw-droppingly beautiful, the cabin was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, it was a joy to be able to wade right into the Colorado River, and the staff was terrific. The negatives: we got no warning that the restaurant was under construction, the substitute restaurant is just OK and understaffed, and the $20 parking charge is OUTRAGEOUS, especially with the high room prices. I feel that this place may be amazing once the renovations are done, but right now, this place is merely good.

The views were fantastic, but the service, food, and usability were not great. Being in the canyon by the colorado river had some really great views, and it wasn’t too far from Moab, ~20min drive. The renovations put the dining area a walk from the suites in an odd building that had offices in it as well. The atmosphere was bad and the service wasn’t great, but the food did exceed our expectations (though they were very low). Also note they didn’t have alcohol (no beer). The newly renovated rooms were great but we ran into an issue were our first room smelled like a gas leak. They sent over maintenance right away, and he agreed there was an issue with the water heater. They quickly gave us another room, but it was a pain to move as these are motel style and we had to pack up the car again and drive it over. No help was offered or any sort of discount. They also say they have reverse osmosis water in the rooms, and I did see a third line going into the sinks; but my wife and I both thought the water tasted bad, even a little salty. Once the renovations in dinning area are done, and the service gets a bit better this could be a really cool place worth $300 a night. But right now >$300 a night is far more then it is worth.

The setting of this property is pretty special. It is a 20 minute drive over a windy road with towering red rocks and the Colorado river flowing through to reach this property from downtown Moab. We had a room facing the river which we paid suite night upgrades for. The room was cozy, comfortable and upgraded with a fan, steamer and extremely comfortable bed. So why the low stars? The property is undergoing a major renovation and there is no wifi or phones in the room. This would not be an issue but given the remote location and no cell coverage this is a major problem. First if you are missing anything and want to call front desk there is no way to reach them because there is no phone in the room and your cell is on SOS and there is no wifi. Make shift Lobby is a good walk over a graveled path by ford bronco rental. There is also a makeshift restaurant there where the service was good but breakfast just super average and the only wifi you get is by that makeshift lobby. In today’s connected world not having basic wifi is unacceptable especially if you have an emergency. I would expect Marriott to be aware and inform guests ahead of time. The property failed to do this prior to our arrival. It’s just unacceptable to not let us know about this prior to arrival. Also make a note anytime you drive anywhere - downtown, Arches, Canyonlands etc you will have to drive 20 or so minutes more to just get out to town. I would not recognize this property until the construction ends. Stay at other Marriott properties in town

We have stayed here 3 times before, the location is lovely with the room opening out to the Colorado river. They have upgraded the cabin type rooms, still a bit pseudo rustic and not a great finish, but nice enough. But they didn’t tell us the good restaurant was shut and the replacement was terrible. Food I would expect in a $10 chain restaurant, pre-made and very nasty. No great reaction to my complaints, a great shame, but it’s quite a way out of Moab so the place needs a restaurant and at this premium price it really isn’t worth the view.

Very nice, clean, pet friendly hotel. Good continental breakfast with friendly staff and large rooms. Super easy to get to! Only complaint is the pet fee is $100… which seems quite steep.

I was hoping to find an oasis of calmness and luxury paying $500/night. What i found was extremely disappointing to say the list. Reception and restaurant are located in a basic small shed, you need fo walk 15mins to at night without street light. Scary and unsafe! There is no room service. I literally got woken up by a loud cleaning team singing and shouting at each other. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. Will not come back!

We were very surprised and disappointed to find out that the restaurant was under renovation, something we had not been informed about in advance. The replacement option was well-intentioned but in no way comparable to a proper restaurant. The food – both breakfast and dinner – was inedible, and we even had stomach aches afterwards. The location is perfect, but the entire property feels outdated, with furnishings from the 1980s. The only positive exception is the fitness area, which is very good. In addition, we were charged for parking at the end of our stay, even though it had been contractually guaranteed to us in advance.
