The Hotel Espiredis is family run, the owners were very welcoming, the breakfast was very good there was a good selection of different foods., to suit all tastes, even vegan. The rooms were spotless, the shower was good, the bed was so comfortable. The chamber maids were friendly and did a first class job. There was a pool and it was maintained well, Very inviting it was. There was ample parking at the front of the hotel and plenty of areas that were shaded from the sun. I forgot to mention, our room had a TV. and also had air conditioning, nice shower, gel and hand soap. I would recommend anyone staying there, there is everything you need at the Hotel and no shortage of warmth fom all the staff genuinely friendly, I love it. K. A. FORSYTH 22/9 /24 to 10/10/24.

Hotel Esperides is a lovely quiet hotel on the main road just across from the road into Myrtos, a quiet tourist town on the southern coast of Crete. Wonderful breakfast for 9 euros per person, with large assortment of foods. Small elevator available. Very accommodating when we arrived early from the ferry to Heraklion, Crete; we were able to purchase breakfast even before check in, and they got 2 rooms ready for us an hour or so before their usual check in time. Also arranged taxi back to Heraklion for us for the day we left. Easy walk into Myrtos and to the beach. Free parking for those who had cars. Mostly European tourists; lots of families. Would definitely stay there again.

Beds & pillows were comfy. Hotel was quiet. Check in desk stayed open until midnight when I arrived and was very kind on the phone and in person... even at midnight! Parking was easy. Upper front rooms have balcony and slight view of ocean. Toilet was leaking, hotel is a little old, but the property is kept up very nicely. Five-minute walk to village & beach. Amazing hotel for the price of $44! Didn't use shower or pool and didn't eat breakfast--only stayed one night. Hotel is a 1-1/2 hour drive from Heraklion airport on a steep winding road.

We have just left here from a spontaneous 2 night stay, we were staying on the other side of the island and decided to take the car and explore. We have been to Myrtos a few times and love the village. We read many varying reviews and they were mixed, but for the price £65 for 2 nights we thought we’d give it a go. So glad that we did, owners welcomed us immediately and told us the WiFi password and gave us our room key. We stayed in room 232 which was rear facing and had some amazing reviews of the beautiful mountains. The bathroom was very modern and exceptionally clean, the shower power and hot water was the best we’ve ever had anywhere in Greece. Beds were comfy, small fridge in room & kettle, with mugs to make tea or coffee if you took them with you (not included) The soap in the bathroom was lush the smell just gorgeous, I hope to find the same to buy somewhere. Highly recommend this hotel for location, fantastic price and cleanliness to the place. Yes the doors and walls seem outdated but it didn’t put us off and we would definitely be back in the future and would book here again.

Positive: Vintage-y Hotel is a good location and has plenty of on-site parking which is a big plus. Five minute walk to beach and village. Nice outdoor patio area with pool to relax and people-watch. Negative: We booked a twin room back in January but for unknown reasons received a room that looks nothing like the representative photos. Orange-brown bathroom was in great need of a renovation; flimsy shower curtain rod, missing toilet paper holder, cracked sink. Photos speak for themselves. Stayed one night only, but was expecting a more modern room based on photos and reviews.
