Хороший отель, все понравилось, классный бассейн, отзывчивый персонал. Только комары доставали, лучше не открывать двери и окна вечером/рано утром! И wifi плохой, но это мелочи))

The hotel is a basic beachside hotel albeit with no direct access to the beach. However, it is within walking distance of Parrot Island and the sandy beach with waterside restaurants. Room was clean and basically furnished albeit affording a reasonable view of the ocean. Shower and fridge were fully operational. State of towels (as referenced by a fellow traveller on Booking. Com in late February) had holes and were frankly a disgrace (see photo). On referring to Duty Manager he offered no apology and took no responsibility and blamed the staff. However, given a similar recent complaint this is, in my opinion, unacceptable. To add insult to injury the room charge invoiced exceeded the pre agreed rate (including taxes). Room is essentially overpriced and I believe there must be better options available with a management that has pride in their operation and takes responsibility for any shortcomings. Stay at your own peril !

My wife and I stayed here for one night during our trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel is in a great location in Mirissa and the staff were lovely! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The hotel is reasonably priced, however for that, you get a hotel in a good location with nice staff, a clean room and WiFi. It’s nothing overly special but a safe and clean place to spend the night.

The hotel is on the beachfrint with great ocean views from the front rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean and have a balcony. The bathroom was clean. The manager was very helpful with suggestions and making sure that everything was ok. I enjoyed the breakfast. It was a mixture of sri lankan and western. They have a great bar with tasty food on the beach called the Tipsy Turtle. The sunbeds are free for guests. The beach is a small cove so it was perfect for swimming, with no waves. I would stay here again.

Good location-right on the beach and has local shops and restaurants near by. Good place for surfing. Hotel food was average. Rooms were standard although wifi did not work properly. Staff were pleasant however do not go to the spa that staff recommend/promote. The spa is Ayurvedic spa about 5km from the hotel. There was only two masseuse and the gentleman was extremely extremely inappropriate with female customers.

Initially, it wasn't our planned destination, but after a booking mishap, Somerset Blue Hotel emerged as an alternative, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! From the moment we stepped in, the hotel impressed us with its spacious, well-appointed rooms that were clean and comfortable. The heart of Somerset Blue, however, lies in its staff. The team, especially those at the restaurant and front office, were not just professional but genuinely caring and attentive. Their warmth and helpfulness added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel truly valued and cared for. While the food was satisfactory, what stood out was the level of attentiveness with which it was served. Each meal was a pleasant experience, not just for the flavors but also for the service that accompanied it. Our stay was comfortable in every aspect. The hotel's location is conveniently situated, making it easy to explore the surroundings. The amenities provided were more than sufficient, catering to all our needs and ensuring a hassle-free stay. Additionally, considering the quality, the food was well-priced, adding to the overall value of our stay.

Stay away. There is ok hotel, but the seperate resturant on the beach is a disaster. If you question anything on the menu it will end I a death threat, only becouse they like reviews. After that they will harass you in any way to first order anything, but then again they are in a rush to collect your money. There are lots of other restaurants in this area, it's a more safe advise to check them out.

Location is excellent, the hotel itself is clean (minus the many mosquitoes) and some rooms are large. Staff are friendly and approachable however unfortunately there were a few things that made our stay less enjoyable and I’d say it’s overpriced. Firstly, we stayed for 3 night but on our last night (Christmas Day) we had to move rooms which wasn’t ideal or what we wanted to do on our Christmas Day. The room we moved to wasn’t the same size as the room we had which was disappointing, it was also inundated with mosquitoes/flies/ants which was strange as the other room wasn’t. Breakfast was the worst we’ve experienced during our 3 week stay in Sri Lanka, limited variety, it was certainly lacking creativity and was just so dull & very unappealing. You can also order bacon with your eggs which wasn’t told to us, we only know this because we heard it from another guests.On our first night we were able to order drinks from the bar which was really reasonably priced, sadly on Christmas Day the bar was shut even though it was still advertised in our room. The closure of this bar wasn’t told to us or advertised at all and when we questioned it they didn’t seem to care. Overall, the bed was comfy shower is great, be careful of the taps they get very hot very quickly but it is certainly over priced in comparison to the other 5 hotels we have stayed at.
