Tranmere House

Excellent guest house. Excellent breakfast and excellent hosts. Our room was comfortable with all we needed. The shower was very good and worked at the touch of a button. The situation was good for access to the sea front and the town facilities.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of August to explore the beautiful National Trust properties in the area. Tranmere House made a perfect base. The booking system with Mark and Leisa over the telephone was simple and effective. The B and B was very easy to find with lots of free parking outside. We were greeted by both Mark and Leisa who were both very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Our room was immaculately clean and well organised with plenty of storage and tea making facilities. Leisa even made the special effort of making sure we were provided with camomile tea bags. The bathroom was spotless. The shower was lovely and easy to use after a day of walking. The beds were extremely comfortable. It is close to the town and yet a quiet location so nice and quiet at nighttime. Our room overlooked Exmoor National Park and a playing field which was also very nice to return to. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with many options including special dietary requirements such as gluten free and vegan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with such kind hosts and will look forward to returning and recommending to friends.

Mark and Leisa are a lovely friendly couple. They made us very welcome. The room was spotless and the bed was lush. Wasnt too much trouble when asked for more tea bags and milk. As for the breakfast.....it was the best we have ever had in a B & B. Dont know how Mark perfects his poached eggs. They were amazing. The sausages too where the best ever. Along with the rest of the breakfast. We have booked to go again in August for 5 days and again in September for a long weekend. This B & B is a must if you are going to Minehead
