Hotels in Awaji Island, Minamiawaji

My non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Fortunately the staff were exceptional, and I soon received another room. One staff told me that because the room was ”Japanese Style”, and that I had to take the bedding from the closet, move the low table and make up my own futon. I live in Japan and I know what a ”Japanese Style” room is. Ryokans of a good grade will have staff make up the futons. When a hotel is too large, the work of making up the futons for all rooms becomes onerous, however, one wonders why ”five star hotel” if one has to make up one's own futon AND receive education on what a ”Japanese Style” room entails [ I am in the hotel business]. The lobby is bleak and looks cheap. No style, no charm. The seating is ugly and cheap. There are real plants here and there but no cut flowers. Cut flowers are very expensive in Japan. Too expensive for this hotel. The final point is that I booked this specific hotel in order to take a swim. Although the weather was fine, the pool had closed the day before I arrived. The pool was still full of water, perfect and peaceful, but ”closed”. No doubt, this saves on staff and other expenses, in the same way that making up one's own futon does . . . all this is fine for a hostel, but not for a luxury hotel. I have been generous with my star-giving because I like to be kind, and because several of the staff were truly exceptional in their kindness and service, however, we hope that the management will note our comments. Please pay for more staff and please keep your pool open as long as the weather permits. Global warming means pools can stay open longer. :-)

Room is very good and clean, and the staff‘s service is also very good, grand floor also provides free coffee and miso soup. but as a bicycle traveller, I was a little disappointed to find that there was no bathtub. There are no hot springs nearby ♨️. And the religious propaganda books in the room made me a little confused. However, for people who travel around Awaji Island by bicycle, this hotel is in a good location, just in the middle of the road around Awaji Island. It is highly recommended for bicycle travellers.

The most enjoyable accommodation experience on this trip~ The hotel is located on the mountain, the traffic is really inconvenient. According to the map, I took the bus to the station closest to the hotel. It was relatively rural, and I couldn’t get a car. I had to walk 2.8 kilometers. The key was the climbing section. It was really hard to drag the suitcase. After arriving at the hotel, I found that there was a shuttle bus to Fuliang, but I only sent it there. When I returned to the hotel, I had to take a taxi by myself. However, Fuliang is a small town, so it’s no problem to call a taxi, so next time you come, you can take public transportation to Fuliang and then take a taxi. hotel! Room: clean, good view, opposite Naruto Bridge, great view~ The breakfast is also rich~ The service is really good!

The kitchen area was also substantial and I was very satisfied. Amenity is also sufficient. There is no pajamas. There were many check-in fill-in items, and it took a little time to confirm after connecting to the operator. However, it was a fun hotel including that.

This time, I booked a room for 3 people with an open-air pool and breakfast. The room is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom is clean and the open-air bath is fine and can only be used by one person. It is necessary to take a wheel to soak. It is a natural hot spring water. In addition, the large bath is also good, there is an open-air, sitting here can see the stars first-class. The Mandarin staff at the front desk was very good, and polite and helpful to ask nearby restaurants and reservations, but in the end we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. The salmon dinner was very delicious and more delicious than the salmon dinner I stayed at the hotel last time. If you go to Awajima, you will book this hotel again. The downside is that there are too few choices for breakfast.

Ctrip should improve the hotel information, because the two price rooms represent smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms respectively. This is not marked, but the price is somewhat different. After arriving at the hotel, I want to add some money to exchange for a non-smoking room, but the hotel said that it has to do the operation on the website where I booked the room, that is, to return this order and place another one, but this order is non-refundable. So it cannot be replaced. I hope Ctrip will give more comprehensive room information next time. The hotel itself is very good. Next to the bis station, there are also convenience stores and restaurants around. The hotel also has a French restaurant and bar check-in hot spring and morning and Western breakfast. Friends birthday, booked a cake, the hotel also deliberately sent to the room at the appointed time, and the next day also free to help take a group photo, and made a commemorative album, moving, Japanese service model. The rooms are large and the arrangements are very reasonable. The small vine bed outside the balcony is perfect for watching the sea. Very recommended for small living.
