Melian was amazing-meticulously clean, great amenities and staff was always personable and friendly. The concierge helped us to arrange rental car pickup and drop off at the resort and parking was just across the street-very convenient! We had reserved the honeymoon suite, which had a hot tub. We were a bit upset that no one informed us it was broken-upon entering the jacuzzi, my husband’s foot was literally ****** into the water intake, which should’ve been closed. It left him with a very sore foot and horrible hematoma-upon informing housekeeping, she very carelessly stated “yes, it’s broken and there is nothing we can do.” Not the response we were anticipating. Further, you are able to order breakfast to your room each morning by filling out a form indicating the time window for delivery-of the 3 mornings we ordered it, it was 20 mins + late 2 of those times, which impacted our morning plans. The restaurant is marketed to serve lunch (starts at 1:30) and only offers a few “snacks”. Room service stops at 11:30, and after that, only a few options for food/drink. Tania and Maria were extremely sweet and helpful when we had questions about our stay prior to checking in and upon checkout. As it was end of season, the head of housekeeping, Sergio, seemed consistently bothered when bringing our breakfast and always stressed. With regards to breakfast, items ordered were forgotten and some simply not provided without a reason as to why. Overall, we enjoyed the resort, but do feel it could improve-especially with regards to communication. No turn-down service available either. Bed was comfy (queen, not king).
