The food at the Tavern was overpriced, and the waiter was confused. The heat was an issue. We had no control. My wife tripped coming out of the bathroom as there was a step. Stingy on the towels. You get hit with cold water when you turn on the shower. The sitting room closet had a fowl smell. I expected an upscale experience and it was/is not that. We drove 8 hours from upstate NY to have a very so so experience.

My husband and I had booked a room for two nights… at the last minute, we asked my sister and brother-in-law to join us and… the Red Fox team was amazing in working with us to change our 1BR accommodation to a 2BR … we had the absolute best time and couldn’t be more grateful for the hospitality! Thank you so much, Red Fox team! (Samuel and Heather were the best!) 🦊🫶🦊

the perfect staycation! The buildings and rooms have such a historical feel, we loved the guest happy hour, very walkable to everything you need in Middleburg. The staff was amazing and attentive. We will be back!

We love the red fox inn but beg them: please bring back the breakfasts where you sit in the dining area! OR please revamp breakfast options. Tasteless sandwich, no condiments provided (no salt/ pepper/ ketchup/ etc.). Get some new options at the very least! The sand which has been here for years!

The Red Fox Inn is as fantastic as advertised! The room was absolutely adorable, the bed was super comfortable and fluffy and I love how there were stairs on either side to get into it. It was so quiet and relaxing, the staff was so friendly and we loved being in the middle of all of the Middleburg action. The breakfast in bed the next morning was the icing on the cake, with delicious food and treats to cap off our stay. The Tavern is closed on Sunday’s so we weren’t able to try it but if it’s anything like the treats and breakfast that we had, im sure it’s amazing. We can’t wait to come back!

The staff was so nice! The food in the pub was amazing. They took the best care of us - small stuff like I’ve already in the ice bucket and welcome cookies. Breakfast and coffee delivered to the room was delicious and included! We will be back again. The hotel is old - some creaky stairs but it has all the Virginia charm and is immaculately maintained. Bed was super comfy and strong air conditioning even though we were on the top floor (which I worry about in older buildings). The room was nicer than the photos and I don’t think I’ve ever been able to say that.
