We spent a night here while on a fantastic two-week tour of Morocco through Soroco Tours. This hotel located at the edge of the dunes is a welcoming and very comfortable spot from which to explore the desert. The owner, Youssef, has an amazing story and has thoughtfully created a delightful hotel meant to treat people as if they were family. Our room was beautiful and had a postcard-perfect view of the dunes in the distance through the palm trees. The details in the construction show the level of care brought to every aspect of the experience here. Excellent location, very comfortable room, a place that the owner clearly cares about. The dinner and breakfast were both authentic Amazigh meals that were delicious.

Where do I begin. The communication and process of having transportation. Food and everything taken care of for us. They ensured we had a smooth transition from the airport to the hotel. The desert stay was all arranged and was perfect. The meals were gourmet. But the most impressive thing was the customer service and care they gave to all the hotel guests. We felt as if we were wrapped in a warm blanket and hugged with love. We were cared for, and they made sure all our needs were met even when we had to change plans. The staff is well trained. I can not wait to go back with girlfriends. The area was perfect. I wondered in the desert just steps away from the hotel. Learned about the berber burial process. Saw how the irrigation was set in the desert. Met interesting people from nomads to slave descendants. Had the pleasure to drink coffee in a tent by a lake on the edge of the desert. Eat couscous under the tree in the desert. Wonder through the small village and see how they all live. The experience was amazing, and it was made into extraordinary cultural learning because of the owner. Dad and brother who supported us. Thank you so much! You will never be forgotten.

3 unforgettable days commenced by an on going incredible communication with Youssef and Mohamed (brothers owners) even before we left Rabat. Driver selected by Youssef was punctual and very cheerful for 1.5 until he dropped us off at the sanctuary Desert Villa. Beautiful Moorish design increases our inner joy . The ceilings had made with wood throughout the hotel gives you a warm feeling and takes you back in time. Lots of details of great workmanship. Service was beyond satisfaction through the stay. These guys bend backwards to make you feel part of their family and circle of friends in the community. The Bivouac nigh on the sand was beyond belief as the team there went far beyond expectations to engrave a wonderful memory in our heart. Team work is exemplary throughout. Cleanliness of the hotel is perfect. More impressive is the creative culinary art kitchen team serving us some delicious and unique fusions of East-West. Outings to try some local delicacies was a plus for us as we had a great opportunity to mingle with locals and hear their journey towards making Merzouga an enviable community. Stories were told over fires, over delicious meals, over refreshing teas, and simply walking the streets together as if we have known them since childhood. A highly recommended place and for us we have indeed found some wonderful people we can call dear friends now. Thank you Team. You have left us wondering how soon we come back to see you all.

Amazing service and food. Great rooms as well and very nice outside area: Pool and sunbeds. The food was very tasteful and creative, they didn’t have a buffet which was amazing (three courses for breakfast, lunch and dinner). I was sick and we were scheduled to leave the hotel at 17, so after check out at 12, they allowed me to use another room to relax. They came in with rice, water and tea which really helped me get better. Definitely recommend this hotel, best hotel I’ve stayed in so far in Morocco.

I can't say enough about this wonderful place!! It is a stunning riad born of 7 years of hard work and sacrifice...and it shows. The host Youssef is just lovely. Accommodating and pleasant and helpful in everyway. My husband was looking to buy something and Youssef offered to go. Not so fast, my husband wanted to go with him, to get more of a cultural taste for the region we were in! The food was really good and the rooms were luxurious. The rooms were air conditioned with televisions and there was the most lovely pool. Please add this to your list of places to visit!
