The Nutmeg Inn

We booked this inn for a last minute trip to Mt. Snow, and it was an enomously pleasant surprise. The building has been gorgeously restored and updated, and the interior design is beautiful-- super quaint and charming combined with some mid-century and contemporary touches throughout--this isn't your grandma's b&b, all in a good way. There are several rooms to hang out in, all with beautiful light, including a room with a large work space/desk with chargers, etc. Also, f you are headed skiing, take-out breakfast can be pre-ordered and is available as early as 7am. We were mightily impressed.

The innkeepers do not now how to help customers! We have stayed here twice with this owner and three times with the prior owner. August 2023 we had booked two nights last weekend in August. My Father in law was rushed to the hospital the day before we were going to the inn. I called and spoke to the husband and he recited the 14 day cancellation clause. I understand this but was willing to stay another time off peak so to reschedule. (The inn had open rooms this week end so it's not like it was full). He told me he was on his cell at a meeting and he would tell his wife. I called two days later the husband again on his cell phone told me he was in a meeting he would call back. Well never received a call back. Called the inn again on the Monday(August 28th) got a voice mail saying "our calls are important to us please leave us a message and we will return your call". I left a message and explained the reason for the call. Here it is a year and a half later and no return call. So I have concluded the y just wanted to keep our 300 dollar deposit and not willing to to budge on the "14 day rule" I have never writing a review before but this still bothers me, my wife and I will never stay at this inn again. Comfortable bed and bathroom. Hosts were very thoughtful and accommodating and fun to talk with. Breakfast was perfect. I hope we can get back again with friends or family during the warm season so we can enjoy the pool and other outdoor activities in the area.

Spent 2 nights in this quintessential New England Inn. We made this reservation because we were attending a concert at the Bank of NH Pavilion. The Nutmeg Inn was within a short and easy drive. The Sage room was a lovely room for 2 adults. Spacious, clean and well appointed with many period pieces. Shout out to Tina who kept our room neat and clean. A number of the breakfast options were baked/made by Karen (innkeeper) and all the choices were simply delicious. Now that we've discovered the Nutmeg Inn, we will definitely return the next time we head up to Meredith and the Winnipesauke region. Thanks for the perfect getaway, Karen and Kevin!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in the Sage room. The Inn was very cute and comfortable. We felt very at home and relaxed during our stay. We enjoyed the freshly prepared breakfast, the history of the home, and the lovely grounds. We especially enjoyed the very comfortable bed!

We planned to stay 2 nights. However after 1 night we had to check out. We stayed in the Sugar Shack. The owner knew we had our 2 year old with us and booked us in a room with an extremely dangerous spiral staircase that was for access to the bedroom. The slats between the stairs were so wide he could easily fall between. The room also stunk of moth balls so badly that we could taste it in the middle of the night. Our clothes and bags absorbed the smell. When we visited friends they couldn’t get over the smell of moth balls. When we left our car smelled like it. And after getting home we had to quarantine all of our bags until we could wash everything the next morning. It was horrible! When I told the owner all he did was apologize and say this is the first he’s hearing about it. A big thumbs down for us. Will not be recommending or returning, ever.
