Campo Base Youth Hostel

The first few days we stayed here we absolutely loved it. The staff and the atmosphere of the hostel is so nice and welcoming - the free wine and the homemade pizza went down a treat. The rooms are very narrow and the bunk beds are very wobbly but it was comfortable and clean for what you pay for. We loved it so much that we went to the reception and booked one more night ! However when it got to the morning that we were meant to change rooms, the manager, Mila, was avoiding all morning. When we finally managed to talk to him he revealed to us that he had given our beds to his family members that were coming to stay and has not told us. At this point it was midday and when I asked him how the mixup occurred he admitted to me that he had booked us in but then decided to revoke our booking without telling us. It was very unprofessional and left us very stressed as finding a hostel for 3 people at very short notice is not easy. The other staff were professional but none of us were impressed with the treatment that we received from the manager. This is a good hostel but stay at your own risk as there is a possibility that you may get kicked out !
