The loud music in the kitchen was playing even after the midnight. ( I fell asleep roughly after 1am). Also, there's heavy machinery operating. I had no idea what it was but the vibration in the floor was obvious (L1, 8-bed). Not as good as the rooms on L3 (4-bed) but you get what you pay for. (8-bed room this time) Interestingly, you could possibly get a lower rate on Trip (see photo).

I am travelling alone. Given I am watching a couple of night sessions at Australian Open I need somewhere which is within walking distance from the Melbourne Park. Overall you get what you paid for. One bed in a dorm of 8 ppl costs just under HKD $300 is a good price. The atmosphere in the hostel is good and those youth are enjoying themselves just like my boarding school days, just that now I am approaching half century. The shared washroom, bathroom and kitchen are good. The bed is with limited space with a cupboard where you can lock with your own lock which I am glad I took one. There was a bit of smell in the cabin I stayed and hence I believe that is why all four fans as well as the windows are always on. Staff is helpful and well mannered. I would say it is very reasonable given the price.

I stayed for just one night in this shared room, and honestly, I didn’t enjoy the experience. While the bed was clean, everything else fell short of expectations. There were no basic toilet supplies — no shampoo, soap, or towels — and anything extra came at an additional cost. The toilet was shared, and overall it didn’t feel comfortable. Maybe this setup works for some people, but as my first time in a shared room, it just wasn’t for me. The room was very cold at night, with no heating at all, and I actually got sick from the low temperature. I was only there to sleep, as I spent the day out exploring the city, but even then, it wasn’t a restful experience. To make things worse, I had to pay an extra $35 just for overnight parking. That brought the total close to what I could’ve paid for a private room in a better hotel. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it — even for a short one-night stay.

very stuffy no aircon, room was smelly and no hair dryer in the toilet, need to bring passport to G/F to trade in which was ridiculous..
